***Colorado Avalanche vs. LA Kings GDT 3/15/22 7:30pm on BSW***

I’d be fine with a third line of Byfield with Kempe and Iafallo. Let them earn their way back up. Danault and Moore are the real top line obvs and Kopitar on the second with… I don’t know who’s even left?

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed the AHL'ers would combine for 0 points against the Avalanche:

The post game said alot. There's pride and frustration regarding the special teams and the 5v5 play. The av's looked very much like a team that's going to win 70% of their games, which makes a team that's only going to win 60% of their games look far worse. Much like the beginning of the season looking at the younger guys and seeing what they're trying out there is still the baseline of enjoying a kings game and this one was oddly watchable. We can Kopi this or AI that or Kempe whatever, but honestly watching Spence, Durzi and seeing how they can actually get to a puck vs Strand and Wolanin who have to be very good with their sticks because the hemming in is coming. It just goes to show how those skill types of players do tip a balance, and should offer a reset in the expectations of what the D core can grow into. I'll also say I totally understand a coaches frustration with Frk in a game like this. Trevor Moore though was an extremely bright spot. That kid was not phased by Colorado at all.

Why break up 13-55-89? Aside from Moore's individual efforts, they were the only dangerous line in the last 2 games - and they know each other pretty well. That combo may be next year's first line.

This is not the type of loss that will keep the Kings out of the playoffs. Losing to teams like the Sharks, Canucks, etc., will though. Kings need to win Thursday. Last night, the Kings were playing with house money (especially after the incredible Florida game) and lost it.

How do we clone Justin Williams? Seems like he's the only guy that Kopitar has ever blossomed under.

To answer my own question, I think Palat is the closest.
I may -- or may not -- have a Justin Williams DNA sample....:23smile: :williams:

Mainly because I have no idea what to do with any of the three on the top line lol.

If the captain is injured I wish he?d take some time and let Turcotte get his shot. If he?s not injured? pretend?

Avs are probably the best team in the league so I'm not too disappointed thoughit would have been ice if it was a better game. Plus we do have all those injuries.

Lol.... Although I meant it more in the sense that I have his road bag from the 2014 season.

(Pretty sure it, unfortunately, got sanitized before they sent it to me. Didn't smell too bad when I originally got it.)
