***Columbus Blue Jackets vs. LA Kings GDT 4/16/22 7:30pm on BSW***

Got the must win. However, that was an ugly last 40 min.

Going to need a lot better than that in the final 5 regular season games.

That was way too hard for 2 points. Why did we seem a step behind that team for like 50 of 60 minutes.

I wanna thank Edmonton for knocking off Vegas, that was very important!

The problem with the Kings powerplay is rediculously easy to diagnose.

They NEVER, EVER one touch pass. 3 or 4 touches and the killers ar able to adjust. Successful PP's move the puck quickly. The Kings don't.

Defensively I prefer Bjornfot over Moverare although he played well tonight and Stecher over Roy. We’ll see how those decisions are made going forward. Not aware of any injuries

hmm, never saw a Ref. congrats to each King player before. Pretty nice

it was that linesman's last NHL game (Vaughan Rody). Alex also mentioned that Brad Meyer officiated his last game tonight (not in LA). Sad to see him go. The best current ref, I think.

I think they are just trying to get Moverare some games/experience in before the playoffs. Nick & Daryl alluded to this on Kings talk....Mikey, Drew & Sean not available for the playoffs, so we gotta get the young guys ready.

The 2 most important things about tonight are the Kings won & Vegas lost. And now we're 3 points up with 5 more games left. And Vegas's 1 game on hand doesn't matter anymore.

I loved how on the broadcast they labeled the Danault line as the 1st line. And can we give credit to Brown? Since he's come back he's not only scored some nice goals but he's had a lot of energy.

Agree about Brown. I have been a severe critic of his the latter part of this season, but he's been noticeably better since returning to the lineup.

Back home after a work trip, bringing my mojo back to the Kings through Susan?s GDT!!! Feeling your presence all night VCRW. Hoping the vets that are coming back bring a rust free effort and fresh look. GKG

It felt so good waking up to a Kings win? a little breathing room. I hope they stop this win one/lose won habit they have been stuck in for the past month.

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed the second goals would be scored by Danault and nobody:

Danault (1 point) :
Kurisu
kingrussell
Shackleford
LeftyKing
srm1105
John a90
Liz4LA

No second goal (1 point) :
Dr. Tran
kingsmen93
Byron
VegasHockey
pray4mojo
RagBone
hornman
Chateau Bow Wow

Both (2 points)
Helvetica
Busted
hihocarp
Rusty
jammer06
SirJW
Nyssa42

Two points is two points, that might not have been the prettiest game but it's so nice to be at this point and finding success.

Brown and AA definitely an improvement over vilardi and Byfield. Also, Iaffalo seemed to be a bit more focused and energetic last night. Lastly, Moverare in with Durzi was massive.. they belong in a 2nd-3rd pairing role and you 100% need someone to cover up for durzi?s defensive deficiencies, although I?m surprised that bjornfot/Durzi pair seemed to struggle a bit in previous outings, since bjornfot is somewhat conservative, but definitely a far superior skater to moverare. Either way, moverare has impressed me in his limited stints because he definitely seems to understand his own deficiencies and leans heavily on situational awareness and positional play. He also seems to be proficient at getting those quick blue line wrist shots through and onto net.

Probably the least impressive win of the season. But 2 point nonetheless. Just making the playoffs would be a huge milestone for this group considering preseason expectation and the incredibly tumultuous injury epidemic.

Sad to say Vilardi is D.O.A. in Kings uniform, hopefully there is a GM out there with interest who has seen all the Kings traded away the past 3 seasons go on to thrive in their new surroundings. If QB is "ready" he needs to be playing with veterans (a real sniper and a responsible jack of all trades type) not rookies.

Nice to wake up and see the Kings are still alive...hoping and praying this project ends before the playoffs begin. It's sucks missing all these games, but I have to be on the lot at 5:15pm for a 6:00pm start, and I don't leave the structure until 6:30am, so I get traffic both directions. Doesn't leave much time for anything but sleeping and eating.

I didn't see Vilardi's name on the stat sheet...another healthy scratch? Too bad..I had high hopes for the kid...

I loved how on the broadcast they labeled the Danault line as the 1st line.

I saw that on the broadcast, including the scratches and new additions and got immediately excited for the revamped line up. Kind of just an acknowledgement of reality.

If that AA continues to show up these last few games are going to be a lot of fun. He looked completely re-energized with his return.
