[Confirmed] Kings Trade 2022 1st-Round Pick + Brock Faber for Pending RFA Kevin Fiala

This was THE guy this summer on the trade front - there you go Blakey! No way did I want him to overpay for DeBrincat.

Also, it was reported Faber watched the Kings play with Blake when they were on the road in MN. Interesting to think about.
 
I like the deal. Fiala seems like a great fit. Mid 20's, 85 points and cheap-ish. Plus Faber is at least 3 years out, with no guarantees he'd even make the Kings considering who's ahead of him.

Plus, this deal likely kills any deal for Chychrun. Oh well

our best trade since Jack Johnson for Carter! His Cup win brought us good luck! Seriously....this is a GREAT move. Faber was gonna turn into Bud Holloway 2.0 with our glut of young Dmen

Put Fiala with Denault. That will be a strong second line. Kopitar has Kempe.

Actually, I'm worried.

Usually when the Kings front office make a move fans roast it and point out just why the move is a stupid one. Then the player has a career year and everyone is left eating crow.

So the nearly universal praise for this one is upsetting.

You may think this is sarcasm, but my instincts find your argument to be valid and quite cogent.

Probably a good deal for both clubs, obviously depending on what MIN does with the pick. They could bundle both #1s and move up for one guy they really like, for one thing.

So how do y'all see the lines in October?
 
I hope this means that Iafallo is gone , if not then there will be even less minutes for the youngsters and I?m not sure that will work out well over the long term.
