Cutting the cord - Best online subscription to watch Kings?

I could be wrong here, but I believe there are 2 Bally's apps. 1 you can download on the TV's you mentioned, Bally's Sports (Which I think is free), and the other is Bally Sports+, which is the one @rinkrat mentioned for phones/tablets/computers that is $20. a month.

I was looking at this and was looking at the streaming options. I called Spectrum to cancel my TV and they offered me a deal. 600Mbps internet and their base plan of 45 channels and you can choose 12, or 15? So, I cut my bill down, got all the channels I wanted, plus NHL Network and 600Mbps internet. Worked out for me. I was ready to go the Fubo route, but this made more sense for me. I think I am around $130-135 for everything I need.

I am also returning the cable box, and will just use their streaming via Roku devices. It includes Cloud DVR.

I used to pay $240 for DIRECTV, I cut out all the pay channels and my service warranty. I'm now down to $182, however I am strongly considering the change to DIRECTV Stream. All my TV's have the app built in so no extra stick costs or whatever. I believe I have decent wi-fi, so if I can pay $109 for the same channels, why not? If my wi-fi goes down, I'm screwed. I will be saving $60+ a month. That is over 5 large if my 3rd grade math is correct? What are the other cons if I make the switch? All I want is to be able to watch the Kings, Angels and the Dodgers once in a while. Help me make the decision! If it goes south, I can easily blame all of you and each of you will have to buy me 3 beers per Kings game. I believe that is more than fair.

I had Direct Tv stream for years with little or no problems

My friends who had both the dish and stream said the stream had less problems in general (I never had a dish, so I can't comment)

How often does your wifi go down though?

I think what's good about Spectrum streaming is that it's good for any number of devices in the house. All the streaming services like youtube or hulu only allow like two streams per account (sometimes only one). So multiple people in the house can't watch the same shows.

If you use the DVR function, make sure they have cloud DVR for streaming.
 
I had completely cut the cord for about a yr now. Down to 30 a month for my internet thru t mobile with the veteran discount. Was worried at 1st not to have enough bandwidth for streaming, but with the google nest im able to stream prime videos, netflix, pluto etc... with no issues. i am looking at streaming ballys for the season, or get the choice 15 as some have mentioned from spectrum

Most games will be on BS West. I do not think any regular season games are going to be on BS SoCal, unless it is those Ducks games. I understand that they will also have the few games that are on local TV this year streamed on ballysports.com as well. There are also something like 15/16 games that will be "National" broadcasts on ESPN.

Fubo is 4x more a month but will give you most other "cable" channels
Ballys will only give you the Ballys "channels" but it will be less than 25% of the cost.


It really depends what your needs are. If you are looking to switch streaming providers, Fubo. But realize that they don't have TNT/TBS so you will lose a few games there
