Dustin Brown Night February 11, 2023

be in your seat for the statue unveiling? isn't that **** outside?

Yeah I'm pretty confused - please don't tell me we are going to watch the statue unveiling on the jumbotron...

[I"]Knowing that many Insiders are attending the game, fans are advised to be in their seats by 6:00 PM in order to take in the entirety of the banner-raising ceremony. The first ceremony will be conducted at that time, while the statue unveiling ceremony will be done later in the evening, outside the arena"[/I]

That is the schedule.

After the banner ceremony the ice will be cleared and treated so the teams can skate for warm-ups and at some point between the banner ceremony and the start of the game the statue ceremony will be displayed in the arena. To the best of my knowledge you will not be allowed to exit the arena to observe the statue ceremony and return to the arena unless you have paid for seating at the ceremony in which case I believe you will be escorted.

Has any information been released regarding if we can watch the pregame as out of towners? Like will ESPN+ show it or will it only tune in 30 mins before the game like normal? Will LAKings.com be allowed to stream it? I assume Ballys will continue to not be our friend. Hoping to see the whole thing. I'm going to be so pissed if this is a NHL network game and we get bupkis.

I’m happy for Brown as he deserves this night. I just can’t wait to see the Kings play in the month of February. I am expecting them to get lit up, however it will be nice to see hockey in LA this month

So, they want us to watch the ceremony/statue unveiling from our seats, ya? But there really isn't anything stopping fans from watching it outside, right?

I wanted to go - tickets from SC to LA a bit much.

too many moments with Brown. Seeing him lift the cup in person was probably the most fulfilling moment of my life.

Im thrilled that ESPN+ Is actually going to show the entire ceremony prior them the game so I can watch it here from Denver

Yeah that was great, we watched the special then the game, was like 5 hours. It felt like an event, and gave me the goosebumps, and tears, seeing Greener and Bob Miller and Dustin choking up and Foxy. Then the Kings came out, destroyed the Penguins, made Sidney lose his marbles, Kempe sets a record, Copley gets a shutout. Felt like it was 2012 again and gave me about the same feels as going to the rally/parade. Truly special and I'm so glad it was aired basically uninterrupted. Perfect 5 hours of hockey and we loved it. Having said that, I don't really see the uhh, likeness, in the statue - I assume it's supposed to kind of artistically represent the whole 2012 team, or I just don't know much about art/statues, but that looks more like my wife's father (a literal old lumberjack) than Dustin Brown. Either way - dude's got a banner in the rafters and a statue, just a kid from Ithaca and I remember him getting drafted when I was.. 12? Awesome!

It was a well produced ceremony and you could feel the emotion. Greener and Scuds both gave funny, heartfelt speeches and Dustin was clearly moved the entire time. Just overall very well done and props to the Kings organization. Now that statue, otoh... yeesh!

And the arena giveaway was pretty bad compared to the ones they did for Luc and Bob.
