***Edmonton Oilers vs. LA Kings GDT 4/4/23 7:30pm on ESPN***

The failed clear again... jeez... Matt Roy fans... puck goes in the net.

When the Kings get zero sustained offensive pressure from both their #1 & #2 Centers, this is the expected outcome.

Best thing that could happen would be Edmonton winning the Division so the Kings play Vegas in Round 1.

If the Kings have to play the Oilers in the first round with this depleted roster, they will be toast.

not a great time of the year to have your leading scorer and top pair defenseman out injured. Throw in Vilardi and the offense depth has really suffered. They need to find their game here to finish out the season. Kings technically won the 5v5, but the penalties really cost them... again.

No excuses you have to play with the players available but without Fiala , Vilardi and Anderson you are losing arguably some of your top players going into the last week of the playoffs stretch. Fortunately this didn’t happen a month ago and we would struggling to make a playoff spot. Anyone know a good witch doctor to bring onto the team

This rivalry reminds me of the pre 2012 years when San Jose was the big behemoth rival that we had to learn how to be better than and defeat. When they had Thornton and Marleau and Pavelski. That's about where we are against this Oilers team and we're actually closer right now than those teams felt back then. We can skate with this team 5 on 5, and if we were all the way healthy this would be an incredible match up. But we just don't have that extra gear with our key injuries and their otherworldly PP. What Drai and McD are doing on their PP is stuff for the record books, you can't give them those opportunities.

Sure, some of these little mini dramas this year have been brutal, but in the big picture, we're ahead of schedule on the rebuild.
