Goodbye Silver Jerseys...at least for this season. New third jersey on the way

Thanks for the reply! It is good to hear that NHL shop is doing quality lettering.

Yeah, it was a nice surprise. I compared to what my daughter received from Team LA and it's exactly the same.

Adidas will be releasing a redux of the 1967 Kings gold jersey on 3/1. Note that the Kings will not be wearing this jersey, this is just a "fans only" release.

I have always preferred the purple and gold to the silver and black. Not a fan of the 3rd jerseys at all.

I still have one of these made by W.A. Goodman and Sons. They were the actual supplier to the Kings back in the '70s and '80s. (Dodgers, too)

I have 2 of the Mitchell and Ness versions which are very heavy material. Will be nice to pick this one up.

Unless whoever supplies them adds a bit of purple/gold to our jerseys, who cares?

I'm still hoping for the "reverse retro" version from last year. Can we just get some COLOR please?

I guess Adidas figured out that burning about $420 mill. on the NHL jersey contract was not a good investment.
Sure, at the time they had to beat out UA for the contract, but clearly considering where UA is today, I bet they are very happy Adidas got the NHL deal and not them.

Now that Adidas dropped CCM years back, more than likely they will have a strong chance at getting the contract.
I’d be surprised if Nike even would want a shot at it. Their adventures with Bauer were a train wreck.

Adidas wanted a bigger foothold in North American sports. They rolled the dice on the NHL.
The NHL just isn’t going to get the big companies that much exposure.

Outside of CCM I’d be curious who would want the contract as it didn’t do much for Reebok/Adidas.
