IR is gettin' crowded. AA now, retroactive to 3/10; 3/13 - add DD, Brown

Pretty brutal update from Hoven on when players are expected back:

FORWARDS

Viktor Arvidsson – likely back next week

Andreas Athanasiou – TBD

Brendan Lemieux – current estimate is about two weeks

Dustin Brown – likely out 3-4 weeks

DEFENSEMEN

Mikey Anderson – week-to-week (likely 2+), not expected to return next week

Toby Bj?rnfot – probably 1-2 weeks, on track to be the next defenseman to return

Drew Doughty – could be back as early as late next week, but it’s more likely going to be longer

Alex Edler – scheduled to return on 3/17 (projected lineup here)

Matt Roy – no set timetable yet, likely at least a few weeks

UGH! Well, tonight should be pretty telling by the response Kopitar and the rest of the team give in terms of what to expect against Vegas too. Let's hope he's reignited and that the rest of the ghosts follow suit, i.e., Kempe and AI.

At least they play CHI once and SEA twice in that span. Huge game against EDM Mar.
30. Sounds like Toby, Arvy, and Drew will likely be ready for that one.

Still hard to convince myself that a game against CHI is a winnable game, if not one the Kings should win. Carry over affect from 2010-2015.

Totally fair. Some teams it doesn’t matter the season either, always a challenge. Case in point SJ. I feel similarly about AZ.

Good chance Fleury is already traded by then anyway. Fingers crossed all day not to EDM.

At AM skate, Edler told me he fractured his fibula and tibia, needed surgery to repair.
Ready to go with no limitations tonight.

Wow. Always interesting to hear the actual details after months of mystery.

Eichel took a puck off the hand against Florida and went down the tunnel. Played briefly in the second but currently out in the third. Significant implications for Saturday.

Mikey Anderson has been placed on LTIR.

If my math is correct he won't be eligible to return until April 2 against Winnipeg.

Oh boy. Per Bernstein 6-8 weeks for Anderson. Really wanted to see him in the playoffs. Such a bummer.

Too early to tell if Doughty out for rest of season or not. Further eval coming.

?? well, it was fun while it lasted.

What makes you think he may be out for the season? He's not even on LTIR and practiced after the injury.

EDIT - Found it:

LAK injury update from GMRB:- Arvidsson/Bjornfot closest to returning, next week or so. - Mikey Anderson gone 6-8 weeks. - Drew Doughty to be assessed before being elevated to next level to return. Asked directly if risk to miss rest of regular season, too early to determine.

Sorry should have copied tweet. Bernstein said he asked Blake directly if Doughty would be out for the season and that was the answer.

I understand injuries suck, however we will know a lot about these young men as they play the last month of the season. I am hoping for at least two players to step up and take it to the next level. The Kings have one starter on defense, and he just came back from a major injury and to top it off, he is old.

If the Kings play 500 for the remainder of the season, that will be an incredible feat. Kupari looks like he is on the cusp, he just needs to take it up a notch. Byfield is a year or two away as he is only 19. Once Blake adds a couple of Williams, Lewis, character type players, (Williams was a character player with mad skills), this team will be fine.
