IR is gettin' crowded. AA now, retroactive to 3/10; 3/13 - add DD, Brown

Anyone know if Turcotte has come back to the Reign yet after his mystery injury?

Full LAK injury update:
Arvidsson/Bjornfot - may practice this week
Lemieux - 1 wk out from practice
Brown/Athanasiou - not scheduled to skate soon
Doughty - need to reassess "a ways away" from return
Anderson - gone 6-8 wks from time of injury
Roy - hopefully on ice by week end

NHL.com is reporting the Doughty is out for the season. It was a good year for the Kings but they won't go far in the playoffs with half the team injured. But it give the young talent very good experince at the NHL level.

Arvidsson and Bjornfot practicing in regular sweaters. Lemieux still in non-contact red.

Even more bummed that we passed on Zegras for him.

Not much point in that kind of hindsight. Yes, Zegras is a bright shiny object. But the Kings are a far better team than the Ducks.

I try to think more about the great successes Blake has had lately with Vilardi, Kupari, Bjornfot and Byfield now playing well on the NHL squad.

And I still have hope for Turcotte as a 3/4C player. He just turned 21.

And the lower pick of Spence looks pretty damn good. Not to mention Helenius and Chromiak in Europe.

Lemieux, Roy and Brown were mentioned as being on the ice today for the morning skate. No mention of others or of any return dates.

The guys that will be coming back are not only valuable on the ice, but they bring a lot of leadership back into the lineup. Great timing for a playoff run.

If Turcotte could get and stay healthy I think he might change your mind.

^^^^this right here. If Turcotte can stay healthy, then I think he?s going to be a fan favorite. He?s not going to score 90 points or do The Michigan goal, but he?s going to bring intangibles we haven?t seen here since Mike Richards. Look at the 2021 WJC gold medal. 200 foot game, clutch performance. He?s going to be a playoff gamer?..just needs to stay healthy.

People said the same thing about Vilardi... He got healthy and he's meh.

Hope i eat crow and Turcotte becomes something more than another pick in 1st that turned into a project to fix and didn't pan out as people thought he would.

I did like Zegras over Turc before the draft so seeing him play well in Analheim bums me out lol.

As much as Turcotte COULD become a fan favorite, it is really tough to look at Zegras, who looks to be a Calder finalist and maybe the favorite, and not want to have picked him instead. Zegras is the best player in his draft year.
