IR is gettin' crowded. AA now, retroactive to 3/10; 3/13 - add DD, Brown

The guys that will be coming back are not only valuable on the ice, but they bring a lot of leadership back into the lineup. Great timing for a playoff run.

I am glad they have two days off between games this week. Rest boys rest.

meh, dont worry about others peoples stuff .. just focus on what we have ... im still bummed we traded the pick that was ray bourque .. haha

Then trading the picks for Larry Robinson, Steve Shutt, Ron Dugay, Phil Housley and Tom Barraso must REALLY p*ss you off.

Sure these players are missed, however this gave multiple opportunities for other players to step up and showcase their talents. You can make bigger and or lesser trades now, since some of these players have played timely NHL minutes. 4 more pieces next year and you have a playoff team that can do damage.

It also gave the Kings a really good idea about their depth for the playoffs. If the injury bug hits again the Kings have known quantities as depth.

As much as Turcotte COULD become a fan favorite, it is really tough to look at Zegras, who looks to be a Calder finalist and maybe the favorite, and not want to have picked him instead. Zegras is the best player in his draft year.

Seider really might be that actually

What about Lizotte? No word on him?

On Kings Talk last night, Nick said they were told by the organization that Mikey Anderson will not be back this season. He was not referencing the regular season. He was speaking of Doughty, Walker and Anderson not returning this seaosn.

I would have loved to have seen what they could have done with a healthy Rick Martin.

Insider reported that Mikey was at practice on the 18th in a regular black jersey. Also quoted Todd as saying Anderson would be available the regular season.

As much as I love Mikey, and I really love Mikey, still a little apprehensive about breaking him back in with the season on the line. Here?s hoping the next 4 are wins and Mikey can play in a meaningless VAN game. That would work.

They need him back ASAP, even if he's not super sharp. He's very steady and they need his size desperately. At 80%, he's pretty much better than anyone else they can throw out there at LD. I expect he'll be back for the next game after tonight.

100%

With Doughty and Walker out, they need Anderson back.

The Kings are only a threat if they get some size back on defense. Good to have Roy back?now they need Anderson.

Can?t have too many Spence/Durzi types and Edler and Maatta are slow despite their veteran savvy.

Great to hear he could be back soon. Nick must have gotten some bad info.

Forgive me guys but watching the Kings in this playoff push with no defense, hit or miss goaltending and expecting their offense to just outscore whomever, makes me feel so youthful. This describes literally every playoff game before Doughty and Quick. Every. Single. One.

Not so much the 2001-2 teams I would say (they shut out Colorado 1-0 THREE times over two playoff series). Now, the '93 Kings? Right on the money.

93: First and foremost, love that you have engaged in my goofiness. Second, we can do a side by side defensive pairing comparison for each team (detroit/colorado v. kings) of that 2001-2 playoff for clarity/rationalization of my "no defense" statement. And finally, I'll shoot my boss a text right now and take tomorrow off and do this side-by-side d paring comparison for every single playoff series (sponsored by hockeydb.com) for the Kings prior to the Doughty/Kopitar/Quick years, to further illustrate my madness. =)

But, yeah, I could probably re-watch those LAPD line games now and be pretty happy just to hear Bob's voice.

Feel free! :) Of course, I haven't even brought up the 80's, which is more in keeping with your statement than even the '93 team.

Heh. Don't threaten me with a good time! =) I'm working NYC hours today so my afternoon may free up for nonsense...

Speaking of the 93 playoffs a million years ago when I had cable and when cable had ESPNclassic they only showed a handful of "Frozen in Time" Kings games. Game 6 and 7 of the Toronto series were the go-to games. Really, it just looked like Gretzky and Gilmour trading "eff you" goals until time ran out. And, I love it. That's the kind of rivalry this team needs. Makes Doughty and Tkachuk not worth revisiting. Since Sutter has made that boy a man this season and doughty can't stay healthy.
