Those speculating a compound fracture... really? If a bone protrudes through the skin you think he'd just sit there on the bench however briefly with a towel over it?... Dear God, I'd be screaming "Get me to the frickin hospital and some morphine stat!" (but of course, I'm not a hockey player...)

Yup. I know I'd be screaming. When I got to the ER with my mangled hand and wrist, I got a Percocet the size of a golf ball.

Is that code for a broken bone? When I broke my wrist and fractured my fifth metatarsal blocking a slap shot I didn’t have a towel to throw over either injury as I left the ice.

I wonder why they're not putting him on LTIR, It would be for 10 games & 24 days, which is 3/22. Maybe there's a rule or some disadvantage the more players on LTIR.

I wish the Kings could be more honest about players injury status. Just so we might know when or if any of these guys will be back in time for the playoffs.

I believe it can be done retroactively, but typically would only be needed for cap space for call ups. Not used for a trade. Remember the cap doesn't disappear with the trade deadline, only roster limits

If the boys can hang on and limp into the playoffs these injuries could be a blessing. Young seldom used players are getting more ice time with the injured guys getting much needed rest. However, more injuries could be disastrous.

I think he really wants to make one more trade but the injuries are tying his hands.

2 weeks of a healthy top 9 right before the playoffs is all I’m asking for at this point. Please!
