Kuz is back

Which line are you assuming is the first line because I can't ever see Kopitar and Perry on the same line. Perry, Byfield, Fiala might prove interesting though.
Good point. Other than Kopi/Kempe .... are all other lines up for a re-org?
Laffy, Perry and Kuz are the only right shooting forward Kings got ... Juice can play both wings very well.

It would had been funny if Kuz had signed elsewhere and we would've picked him at the trade deadline again like...He's back!

Excited Oh Yeah GIF

:mhihi: :cheers

So, his pattern of coming into an organization like a spark plug and ingratiating himself- only to fall off steeply production-wise has once again repeated itself. I’m glad they only inked him for one year.

According to Jesse, he’s practicing with the third line and has been removed from PP1 in lieu of Perry.

Jesus that still stings. Dude was a + 26 last year and most of it on the first pairing...and he's a plus 5 already this year. Compare that to either of his 'replacements' in Ceci or Dumoulin...and you have combined -9. :/

(Oh did I mention how much we are paying those two?)
It’s been stated multiple times, I think the fallacy here is to think that Gavrikov had any intention of signing in Los Angeles. I find it extremely difficult to believe that LA didn’t offer him the exact same contract. Or possibly even slightly more to sway him. Perhaps that’s not what you’re insinuating here, but I can’t really say I fault Holland on this one

Obviously, this does not excuse the dollar amount or the term on the Ceci and Dumo contracts. I think holland probably had his sights on at least one of the two, but ended up having to sign both when Gavrikov made his decision to spend his free evenings in the little Russia district of NYC.

Editing to add: I think those plus/minus stats are a little deceiving, as the ceci dumo pairing was -5 in their first three games. They’ve been relatively even ever since they were split, and even now that they’ve been reunited as a pair. I don’t like the money or the term, but the proof may very well be in the proverbial pudding when it comes playoff time, and their size/reach becomes more of a factor. Look at the way the Kings have handled a few of the small/faster/more skilled teams in recent games. We shall see..

A laughable 5/6 defensive pairing is solid message board fodder, probably for every team in the league. But, if you kats are into it, I'm down for the Kings' worst 5/6 dman pairing in history. And if you're "extra" worst 5/6 pairing in the league.

You can back it up with numbers if you want (or just type for laughs), but if you change the color of the text to prove your point (symbology I am looking in your direction)...it may be a detractor from all the eye rolling and mocking. =)

No pressure, just if I'm going to waste my life on a hockey message board, let's get nuts with it.

Mark Hardy and Tim Watters say hi!

Indeed. Sure no one will confuse Dumo/Ceci for Martinez/Greene. But, they were both -4 after the first two games and Dumo is still -4 and Ceci -5. Both were learning a new system and paired together. They've improved significantly and are adequate for a bottom pair.

Thank you for preemptively sparing me from the terror of having to stroll down memory(nightmare) lane of some of the various 5/6 defensive pairing disasters we’ve been party to over the many decades of fandom.
Who got paired with Denis Gauthier? I can’t remember. I just see Gauthier absolutely giving it away right up the center, over and over again.
