End of 2nd period. LA bounced around this period and scored two more goals. They now have a lead for the first time this trip, with two goals over Carolina. But there's still 20 minutes left and LA must preserve their lead and not let Carolina come back. Insurance goals are a team's best friend when they have the lead.

If it was the same bug I had, I'm surprised any of the Canes can stand up, much less skate on ice.
The Kings needed to take advantage of that and come out with energy and attack...and that's exactly what they've done.

Rantanen is so effortlessly dangerous. He just glides around and finds the soft spots in the Kings defense. What a player. I would consider buying season tickets again if the Kings signed him this off-season.

Kuemper had no idea where the puck was until it ticked under his legs. At least Carolina didn't tie it, for now. They're really pushing back. LA cannot laze around and just stay content in sitting on their lead, as I've said before.

This team is a lot like the 2012 team. Great goaltending keeping them in games and can't score for anything. All Blake needs to do is find a prime Jeff Carter type gifted to him at the TDL.

2012 team could roll 4 effective lines even when they weren’t scoring. This team has 2.5

As for the Jeff Carter type if only Columbus decided to give Patrik Laine away for pennies on the dollar…
