***LA Kings @ Colorado Avalanche GDT 3/27/25 7:00pm on ESPN***

Avs have put together an almost perfect team by acquiring every player about who I have thought, "oh, I'd love to have them on my team" over the last couple of years...Necas, Nelson, Coyle.....all players I greatly respect

The Kings look so unmotivated tonight that they couldn't bother to try breaking Colorado's SO bid. I know that it's a road game but show some courage, LA. It seems the Kings practically gave up after the 2nd period.

Game over. The Kings got shut out for the first time since the Bolts game last two months ago. LA came in unprepared and sleepwalked the whole 60 minutes, even when the D showed up in the 1st period.

I really hate games being aired on ESPN+; their PbP has got to be the worst crew out of any national game broadcasting crew in any sports league since they don't seem to have real knowledge of hockey games. And those that do are just as bad. A real far cry from the Thorne/Clements era of ESPN hockey. It was a big mistake for NBC to not renew their national games broadcasting rights and hand over the reigns to ESPN.

Pretty amazing to lose a player like Rantanen and it's just a hiccup, you simply re-load, and end up better. that first-round DAL- AVS series will be a beast.

Just another road loss.

I knew this would be a wipeout. Sometimes all you can do is kick back, stick your toes in the sand and listen to some music.

*edit*
I forgot to mention that my preferred beverage for watching a wipeout is pina colada. Rum seems to work best watching our ship slowly sink.

Honestly, in my opinion, it's more of a Central Division being really good this year rather than the Kings being mediocre.

Kings Apologist brought to you by Orphy. Haha. Nite peeps. :cheers

This game wasn’t going to be easy. Colorado’s a great team, it’s in Denver, & they’ve had our number. So maybe a loss would be expected. But they still needed to be better than this. Even a close game like 3-2 would be more acceptable. Rittich wasn’t great but even if Kuemper had started, they would’ve lost 1-0 or 2-0. I would expect the Avs to score. But I didn’t expect the Kings wouldn’t score. The bright side is the Oilers lost too. But we need to get back to winning & playing the way the Kings know how to play.
