Ah come on. You don't need your captain, who is also (well, not anymore) best player on the team and key PK player getting penalty minutes for roughing it up. Look up the captains in the past 20 years. How many of them were Dustin Browns? Most of them were, in fact, Byng vote receivers and not some bulldozers or fighters. Look up how many penalty minutes did each of them receive during Cup run playoffs, when the game is the toughest and grittiest. Barkov, as the latest example, got 8 and 4 PIM in their Cup runs.

You need a support cast to do the dirty work and then sit out as a consequence, not your key players. And if you think this support cast answer to Captain's direct command like some attack dogs you're sorely mistaken. They either have it in them or not, and the actual chief in command IS, in fact, the Head coach.

This team isn't good enough to win in spite of a bad head coach. That's it. Therefore a different head coach and some personnel change (since at least one of the players seems to have quit this team for one reason or another) is required.

That Hiller dressed Mallott and Helenius and neither did anything says it all. This goes back a while. Todd was coach when McDavid concussed Mikey.

This team plays scared and reacts scared. And they are the joke of the league.

Yes. Even signing Perry didn't change much. And IMO the reason for that is the head coach.
