***LA Kings @ Edmonton Oilers GDT 11/16/22 >>>7:00pm on TNT<<<***

Kings stopped the McJesus and Draisaitl points streak...suck it whiny, cheap shot losers.

Would like to track early points against conference rivals because it always comes down to points in or out.Every two points are important whether they’re in October or April.

Will have played more than a quarter of our season before the weekend’s out.
There are teams who have played five fewer games.
Only three of 19 games (SEA, PIT, DAL) have we really been out of contention.

Awesome win! One of their best this season. Great job by Moore with his 1st career hat trick. Even better was the 29 blocked shots by the Kings & limiting McDouche & Draisuckle to 1 shot each & them getting frustrated.

Go Kings Go!

Great win, but Kane being out was a part of it. On the other hand, that performance in Game 7 would have gotten us Round 2 last year. So, great measuring stick game.

Balanced scoring this season on a L.A. Kings team??? Who knew?

This is starting to look like the 2001 Kings!

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed within +/-2 of 55 combined shots on goal as follows :

54,56 shots (2 points):
beady eye

55 shots (3 points):
DRGinLBC
empire
Nyssa42

Aside from Lizottes absolute brain fart that was a great team effort. Not to say there werent mistakes but the team buy in from blocking shots to moving to make offesne happen and generally frustrate the oils two headed monster. Just a good effort that was well rewarded. Big game by Moore, glad to see him be rewarded as well considering he had been the most snakebit by expected goals on the team.

Remember in the playoffs last season, the Kings had a few people missing.

That was a pathetic PP.

Kopitar is an absolute energy suck on the half-boards. I've got to think that opposing teams' PK strategies for the last several seasons must include "letting" him set up there.

Macdavid is a dirty player.

He wasn't that way in his first couple of seasons. But he's gotten so much nasty s*** from guys trying to defend him that it's now a part of his game.

It would please me greatly if Kane suddenly can't play anymore. He's a mammoth d-bag who should never have been let back in the league.

just finished watching this game (was working last night). What a forecheck performance in the 1st!! They kept it up pretty well, too, and lots of backchecking...Kempe had a great game defensively. Nice to see him taking on that role.
Hope Kupari is OK. That was quite a wicked crash into the boards. And the "kneeing" on McDavid was a lame call. At least the refs evened it up.
I'm still worried about Cal. His lateral movement is sooo slow. Only reason he looked so good in this game was because of all the blocked shots. Can't remember who it was in the 1st that took a brutal shot from Bouchard (Danault? Kupari?)- whoever it was is gonna have a HUGE bruise on their leg. Ouch.

Great win....on to the next one! Game 20 coming up.....

Agreed on Cal. Overall he played well, though, and a huge positive is that when the game was on the line in the final minutes he didn't shrink as we have often seen in the past. This game he looked like a goalie who we can build around in the future - hope he keeps it up! Blocked shots infront of him were definitely next level though. Really great effort by the Kings and excellent discipline shown given the runs and after the whistle dirtiness we saw once again from Edmonton. McDavid got away with a pretty nasty elbow too right after Drai tried to take a run at Doughty. I'm really starting to dislike that team...

Yes, a good game but he seems very susceptible to wraparounds, cross ice one timers. Positioning was good, movement slow.

Every goalie is susceptible to those. But I agree his puck tracking was not where I'd like to see it. Especially on behind the net movement to the front. His right to left movement still seems like its especially slow/unsure. Glad the team blocked all those shots for him, he owes them a dinner.
