Went to watch it from the beginning - it jumped to live with 2 minutes left. Yuck. Had a bad feeling going into this one. Bummer. IDK why started Korpi 2x in a row, though I doubt he was the problem.
I've been saying for a long while now that the Kings have no answer for rough and physical play. Teams are figuring this out about the Kings. This will absolutely be a deciding factor in any 7 game series. Big boys like QB need to learn that they're big.

Well D and goaltending has not been the problem the last two games. They were solid again. And great chances... that wasn't a problem either. Even having a tough time entering the zone the Kings found their chances again. This could have easily been a win. But finishing has been downright sucko. No matter how big an opening is presented we can't shoot it in. I guess these go in cycles and we find ourselves in 3rd.

I know they were looking for the tying goal (this really is a different team without Fiala's speed forcing the other team's "D" to react) but did Mckewen even get a shift in the 2nd/3rd periods? As someone posted, why have him suit up against this team if not to try to stir things up when the Oil does?

Great defense tonight. Better defense by the Oilers. They have improved and will win the Pacific. Kings just need to hold onto a playoff spot.

Take the shine off something nobody realistically expected sure. But lets not pretend anyone thought with 8 games to go a shot at number one in the western conference was on the table. This is house money, but when you got house money its totally fair to want to change your risk level.

After the frustration has mostly burned off, without our leading scorer, top pairing defensemen and emerging 20 goal threat, it was still a 1-0 game going into the 3rd period. We were right there with them until Durzi made a perfect pass to the best player in the world for a breakaway. Even depleted, we had plenty of opportunities to get a point or better out of this game. It was emotional, but not as bad as it actually felt. I get why they didn't goon it up for Mikey when we were one good bounce from being back in it.
Just hoping the best for the injuries at this point. Be a bummer to squeak into the playoffs missing three of our best players (again).

It sucks losing, especially now. But I don’t think they played horribly. They just didn’t score. But more than the loss the worst thing is the injuries. Missing Vilardi, Fiala, & now Anderson is hurting the Kings right now. I hope those guys recover quickly or else other guys step up in their absence.
I don’t know how anyone looks at that hit on Mikey & thinks that’s a minor penalty. It was square on his numbers into the glass. But when your nickname is McJesus I guess they’ll let you get away with anything. Maybe we should be grateful they called anything at all. But he’s been pulling that crap all season. I don’t want any cheap shots against him but they can’t let him keep getting away with that.

That's like.. next level, I don't even wanna know how many years of school and dedicated training it took for that level of artistic integrity and workmanship, but god damn color me impressed. The fact that his jersey numbers are on the FRONT? And the logo on his FEET! My god. It's just like - WHAT? Only an absolute genius from the 4th dimension could have come up with that. You can't very well suspend an entire team can you? The Edmonton McDavid's would crumble.
They will. Scoring is good for the league.
That's been evident for a short while now.
Injuries suck. I wish Fiala and Gabe rested til near Playoffs to begin with. Anderson hit is total BS.

You think the Kings-Oilers rivalry is intense now? It's NOTHING compared to what it was like in the 80s and early 90s. This brawl is but one example of that.
