Hope Nyssa42 and Liz4LA had a great time and good luck getting to Seattle (and other places) for tomorrows game. Really hoping Q is precautionary and the NHL really needs to decide how much of this they want in the game. With all the focus on head shots we used to have, and the sensitivity the league has always had regarding using your stick on to the head, it would make total sense that there's no supplemental discipline....

They say they care but really, they don't. Start throwing out 10, 15 game suspensions it will stop real quick.

I don't think it's decided. MIN & STL haven't clinched & CGY is still alive. And I think the Blues shot their wad prematurely. Then again, I'm not sure the Jets will win since there's a curse on the President's Trophy.
 
Great freaking win! For anyone on that side who said our last 3-0 shutout wasn't that big of a win, how does 5-0 taste? And like Phil said in the intermission, that was their B squad trying to hurt the Kings. And I'm not upset we didn't retaliate. They just needed to get out of there with a win & everybody else healthy. I hope QB being out in the 3rd was precautionary. But either way, Nurse needs to be suspended into the playoffs. Although I like what that Kings Talk caller said & maybe Edmonton's punishment is that he must play 30 minutes a game. And Corey Perry's a piece of crap as well. They're all pieces of crap. That's why they're the Coilers. I'm looking forward to beating them in the playoffs. I said Kings in 6 but I hope I'm wrong. I hope it's 5 or even 4. And not about this game, but could the NHL release the dates of our playoff games since we already know our opponent? Some of us have work schedules. Go Kings Go!

I’m not so sure the Oilers any goons left either. IF Kane comes back for the playoffs, he wont be anywhere near game-ready. Friedrich has a high-ankle sprain, he might not be ready at all. I think this series will come down to team depth, which the Kings have over the Oilers, IMO. Kings will win in 5

I think the Kings absolutely dominate the Oilers in regards to depth - it's the penalties and the Oilers broken ass PP that is our nemesis, with the full roster of course. I think we have the best looking team of the last 4 years and home ice so I'm optimistic.

We've won 5 on 5 for 3 straight years. But the Oilers PP has killed us by scoring at an unprecedented rate in the playoffs. Having Darcy instead of Korpi and the Dollar Tree goaltending of the past 2 seasons should be a big help.
 
I was real mad at Nurse for the very disgusting cheap shot he took on QB, but I am more mad at the Kings as a team. QB got cheap shotted real bad and none of the Kings on the ice did anything. They just stood around like weak, scared individuals. This team is very weak, they don't stick up for each other and they definately don't come to each others aid. Any other team there would have been multiple fights. The good teams don't let other teams take liberties with their players. This game really didn't have much meaning. Kings are in the playoffs, home ice isn't going to be factor in the series with the Oilers. What will be is the Oilers are going take shots at the Kings and the Kings will go fetal position.

Timing is everything. They likely want to keep emotional levels to a minimum until the playoffs start. Momentum swings can make the difference in a 7-game series, especially in the first 2 games
