Glad to see the The Kings win with Quick in net. If Quick can raise his game that will go a long way in the Kings going deep into the playoffs.

And big congrats to the skaters for shutting the door after the Isles potted their 2nd goal. That was good fun tonight!
But, let's be honest... how many of us thought, "Here we go again" after after the score went to 3-2?
Had they actually lost another lead, I would have recommended they trade for an exorcist or a shaman instead of a left shot defenseman.

More props for Quick. I think he still has some gas in the tank and that will help with any playoff push. But first things first - Rags and Jets are going to be tough games. Points in both of those would really help establish momentum.

Damn that's usually my favorite part, the insanity of the pre/post game shows. I had to watch Islanders feed.
Great play by Quick and shutting the Isles down. 18 shots.
I don't see Quick playing any playoff games if Copley carries us in.

Quick is the American Chris Osgood. Neither guy is getting into the HOF anytime soon.
How was Brendan and Butch? I watch a lot of Islander games and I wish could see them do the Kings.

My immediate thought was that they were very non-Homerish and Butch was praising Quick and Copley and a bunch of other players. He was critical of the Islanders and very fair overall, though my only "complaint" was there wasn't a second of quiet time, someone was allllways talking. There was also a 3rd guy I think. They were refreshing over the Fox/Faust show. I'll always love Foxy but Faust's negativity/statistic tossing/acting like he's 50 years old bores me to tears.

I haven't had time to watch the Rangers at all this season, but I feel like they'll be another good test for us. The Devils were the team I was most worried about on this roadie, though, and we stacked up well against them - definitely SHOULD have had those 2 points. I remember this distinctly because Jim Fox and I had a lengthy discussion at fantasy camp about the future of Gabe Vilardi and whether or not the Kings would be able to hang on and even make the playoffs. Sadly, fantasy camp, which was to have been this coming week, is cancelled, so I won't get to chat with Jim about how great Gabe has turned out to be. And how much better our playoff chances seem this year.

I have a buddy who always does fantasy camp. He and a few friends skipped it this year becuase of money being tight and the guests being underwhelming. Kings put the minimum of effort into bringing in ex-players who weren't local.
