Faber would have been anchoring this team's blue line for years to come. It's a shame, really.

He was going to Minnesota no matter what happened. It was a good trade at the time considering Minnesota knew he was coming to them either way. Still really comes out as a decent trade considering I think we can get a couple young pieces for Fiala as much as I dislike his game, as opposed to letting Faber walk for nothing.

He's from Minnesota and only had to wait one more year to walk to Minnesota free as a common loon (Minnesota state bird...)
