***LA Kings @ Seattle Kraken GDT 04/01/23 7:00pm on >>BSW *note change*<<***

Big two points. Nice bounce back against a tough team to play against. When you’re on a losing streak and don’t see an easy win on the schedule, you have to win a tough one.

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed the save count for either team within +/-2 of 16 saves by kings and 25 saves by the Kraken :

Hey, I had 27 for Copley too. DO NOT TRUST JAMMER.

I know I am late, but I am guessing 16 saves for Seattle and 25 saves for the Kings. The Kings will win 3-1. Goals by hmmmm, lets say Durzi, Grunds and Fiala with an empty netter for the hell of it.

Jammer....you're drunk.....Copley had 25 saves, not Jonesy (he only had 16)

Hey, if I wasn't at work I would have been drinking through that game too. Lol.

You guys are both great. Thank you both so much for the GDT's and all the work on the poll questions. It's like a tiny consolation when we lose a tough game but get some points in the poll.

Even better are wins in both. You're both LGK Legends.

the camera angle at Climate Pledge Arena is excellent. I felt like I couldn't even see the players during the Oilers game. This is a perfect camera angle

That's a damn gorgeous arena, brought to you by a ton o cash. I always liked Seattle, born around there before moving to LA. Weird place, but in a kinda cool way. Portland on the other hand..

I think going down the stretch here the Kings are having to adjust, kind of quickly, to varying degrees of types of teams: 1st place hunters, playoff spot hunters, angry non playoff teams trying to kill us. It's been interesting watching them kind of adapt. I think it's important as it settles down into a playoff mindset (these low scoring affairs will be more common I presume). QB and the whole 1st line looked bad last night. Copley looked great - probable best game of the year as far as BIG saves. I really want him to play in the playoffs, numbers and stats and one round of an exit playoff history be damned, the guy has earned it through a season of wins and saved our season. Lizotte... was bad. Fiala all smiley's again after EN goal. He's the brightest light on the Kings for some time, I really hope he doesn't get bogged down by injuries and I can't understand why they keep trying to play him if he's clearly hurt, though I guess "play thru the pain" is healthy today. Seems weird. But uhh yeah, I hope we can smash the blue orcas.

With Fiala, I wonder if it's a case of he can't hurt himself any worse. LIke the scene in the movie Miracle, when Brooks confronts one of the players with a bad bruise, telling him "A bruise on the leg is a long way from the heart". I'm not at all suggesting Fiala has no heart, but with him attempting to play again, makes me think it's not a structural injury (ACL or the like) but a bad bruise. Hope so!
