I don't think the Kings can play Vegas at all at this point, right? They'd have to be the top wild card I think.

Hell, who knows? I'll just wait to see what happens Thursday. Personally, I'd like to play EDM...I just want to kick their ass but that's like old Lakers' fans want to play (then lose to) Boston again and again.

Actually, there is one scenario where we do play the Knights in rd 1- If they lose tonight (SEA) in regulation, and EDM wins tomorrow- EDM wins the division (they have the tiebreaker (reg wins). Obviously, we would have to win tomorrow and the Ducks lose tomorrow for that to happen. (also necessary for us to get EDM, should the Knights win)

I only caught the highlights due to blackouts, but yes, Doughty, once again looked old & slow. For what he was doing on the OT goal, he might as well have been sitting on the bench for a 3 on 2

DD needs to hang them up. His contributions and achievements while playing for the Kings are memorialized. But he needs to make way for the next gen. Part of that is DJs fault for giving him so many shifts.

Sad to see the win streak end, especially since they came back and were in firm control of the game at 3-2. No longer in control of their destiny I hope they don't get cute. One more till there's potentially only 4 more.

I think DRice was too buried in tax day stuff to make a guess.....but looks like he's going to be the King of the Mountain no matter what because tomorrow's question will be only 2 points (last goal, last penalty). This last "time" question was supposed to be "the equalizer" if anyone got lucky - Rogie-Vachon and Forum Gold EDIT: and Chateau Bow Wow (who moves up with the leaders!) - all with 5 big points cashed in!

One thing to give too many shifts to an old, slow dman well past his prime, quite another to throw him out there for the 3x3 track meet where he has zero chance to contribute. Doughty should only see OT if 15 of the 18 skaters are injured.

The problem with DD is not only has he gotten slow but he's not paired with a puck mover. He's fine as a bottom pairing guy and could be OK as a shutdown guy on the middle pair.
