***LA Kings @ Vegas Golden Knights GDT 10/22/24 >>8:00<<pm on ESPN, ESPN+***

We’re back to black hole Kings. Not good enough to be anything but first round exit (if we make playoffs), and not bad enough for good picks (if we haven’t traded them all away already). It’s gonna be a long season.

long many years
anyone still watching this mess??

bailed at 1-4
What does the tooth fairy pay someone like Byfield for a tooth under his pillow tonight

i'd say 6.25x5

I’ll keep watching the Kings because I like hockey and they are the team I support, however, they are not good. They have played three to four playoff teams and either lost in OT or in regulation. I believe Buffalo has a legitimate shot for the playoffs, however they just came back from Europe and it was opening night. That was the Kings only good win. Of course Buffalo is the youngest team in the NHL. I don’t get excited when the Kings play teams like the Ducks or the Sharks. The Kings have the Club and Knights coming up again and I just want them to compete.

I would trade Fiala for a reliable D man in a heartbeat. He is the most one-dimensional low IQ hockey player I've ever seen

He goes on a a couple heaters a year and is an absolute liability the rest of it. His passing and handles are terrible! He's a PP merchant and that's about it.

No physicality and he's slow for a guy you think would be a better skater. In no way shape or form built for playoff hockey, not that the Kings are getting there.

I'd ship him out in a heartbeat. Does he have any trade value? I think he does but hell will freeze over before Blake makes the right move.

This has to be Blake ‘s last run with the Kings. I’m not worried about Fiala, he will get his game back. The lack of two way play concerns me. So many open looks in front of the net. Players are looking around too much. Put a body on someone. The Kings are still too small

1-6 Final.

Agreed - Watching the Kings line up against Vegas it's pretty apparent they are too small and what size they have isn't well utilized physically (like Edmundson getting outmuscled by Hert down low).

I couldn't have said it any better myself. Word for word.

Hoping to make the Vegas rematch next Wednesday. I mentioned in this thread that I hadn't been to the Crypt since a concert in February...whoops. As my buddy so succinctly reminded me, we went to three Kings games in March and April (senility is a hell of a drug). Not very memorable games, except the finale against Chicago, my only Kings victory last season, including road games.

Not expecting the Kings to win, but it would be nice if we were more competitive than we were last night...and looking forward to checking out the new renovations, which evidently includes a new scoreboard!:

Agreed on everything. As for Fiala, I’m unsure what game you’re wanting to see. He is what he is, it’s all I’ve ever seen from him. The larger question, going back to Blake, is what in Fiala’s game did management think suited the Kings style of play.
