That was a beautiful individual effort from Gavrikov. The one really bright light in this game.
 
So… Danault will be good in the playoffs right? I mean he’s always on the right side of the puck, but he will score again right?
 
Agree with Fox to an extent Byfield needs to find his spot, it’s not the top line line. Kid has a lot of work to do in the off-season with his skating strength

I just don't see the innate talent that should be already there in a number 2 overall pick. Is QB actually great in any facet of the game? Projects should be drafted in later rounds. I see his ceiling at 3C. Sure hope I am wrong.

He doesn’t know how to use his body yet. If that changes and he starts to hit, he can be a power forward. That and adding about six inches to the stick maybe.
 
Concerning Byfield we all knew he was a project and it would take a few years. Patience is wearing thin, and next season he has to step up and become a 2nd pick.
 
I know there will be a lot of threads about who to move next year but the kings likely are going to have to move IA, Walker and Lizotte and free up about 5.7 sign Gavi and maybe Korpi but the biggest mistake Blake hasnmade in his GM career is signing Peterson to that ridiculous contract that is going to hold the Kings hostage for quite a while
 
Kupari with a sick move. Too bad he couldn't generate a chance with that.

Hopefully he's been saving up all his offense all year for the playoffs. And his playmaking ability, too.
 
The Kings need to see Kupari take the body more, he has the skill but he needs to hit more. Work on the upper body over the spring and summer and come back knocking people around the ice.
 
We're just playing bad to trick everyone into thinking they can beat us in the playoffs, right?
 
Our boys need to do some soul-searching before the next three games. Too many guys lately looking for someone else to take responsibility for winning a game. The new guy has easily been the most solid player. Gavrikov is the real deal.
