***LA Kings vs. Anaheim Ducks GDT 2/9/25 7:30pm on FanDuel***

Painful Kings lost, especially to the Ducks! got a point but not going to be good enough to get past first round. Get some rest and think its time to make some changes before the playoffs :(

Well, at least this loss wasn't in regulation, so the Kings do get away with at least a point. On to the 4 Nations for DD and Juice.

But man oh man is the Kings' PP so comically terrible this season. They better find a way to fix it come playoff time or it's another first round exit for them.

You're only as good as your last game. Ducks are playing well, they are going to make a run. Better team won tonight but the Kings did get a point. So they go into the break as losers.

You guys are nuts, DD has had a fabulous game.
Agree. This was very easily Doughty’s best game since coming back. I thought he was the Kings best D-man tonight.

Dostal was just ****ing incredible tonight. Kings generated at least a dozen A+ high danger chances tonight but the couldn’t solve a goalie on top of his game.

Overall a fun game and not too much to complain about.

Sounds crazy but I actually like to see the Ducks and Sharks finally showing that they have a path to being competitive again.

Last three seasons it sucked watching the Kings give 75% effort to beat up two terrible teams in SJ and ANA. I miss having in-state rivals. The next few seasons should be fun in the Pacific Division.

It was an okay game, but I really wish I had gone to see Montreal or Dallas instead, especially after I found out my buddy from Carrollton (a Dallas suburb) was there Friday night.

I can't believe it took until 2 and 1/2 minutes were left to finally score. The Ducks goalie played great. But Dave made some big saves too, especially one right in front of us that looked impossible. I don't even know if he saw the puck but he got his leg pad out just in time...very impressive.
Anaheim appeared to be pretty well rested, and even though the game was fairly even, I guess they deserved to win.
All-in-all a decent night...would have been nice to win though.

I couldn’t hear the volume real well during the TW ceremony. Just curious, did Flake get BOOO’d?
You heard right. There was a smattering of boo's. I was probably the loudest smatterer.

But seriously, there were a few people booing. I thought it was pretty funny. The look on Blake's face...I think he heard it too!

I won't go as far as saying it was a boring game...not like a few I went to this year...but it was definitely low-event. Gotta hand it to the Ducks goalie. Not much else to say.

I do too? It was funner when those games were good. I hardly watch when we play the Sharks anymore as the Kings play down and it's just boring all around.

I think people kinda wanted to but weren't quite ready? You could tell a bit? Lol.

At least Burroughs got his 2 minutes of ice time.

I often forget he's on the team.

At best they were evenly matched. Thought the Kings were the better team overall but we got goalied a bit, came up with some big saves. And the Kings were playing their 3rd game in 4 days...I know, it's an excuse the also a realistic issue for any hockey team. Bottom line is they Kings had opportunities to convert, didn't, and the end result is what happens often when you let lesser teams hang around.

Still absolutely hate the shootout, games don't need to be decided by a skills contest as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, it was far less than I expected. The first period was an absolute bore. Kongs were super sloppy at times, I immediately had that uh-oh feeling which unfortunately played out. I was a bit surprised to see a fairly low turnout of Sucks fans. Boston, Chicago, Edmonton...heck, most teams, get far more opposing fan support.
