***LA Kings vs. Buffalo Sabres GDT 11/20/24 7:30pm on FanDuel***

The power play is killing this team. In spite of all the hate he gets the team is really missing Drew (shin pad shooter) Doughty on the PP. Clarke isn't yet strong enough on his skates and Spence telegraphs every shot he takes.

Agreed, he hasn't looked like a goal scorer since joining the league and often shoots it right into the goalie. I'm seeing very similar things from the majority of Kings forwards right now (either shooting the puck directly into the goalie or high and wide). Really wish they'd start taking more low, hard, shots on goal to either hopefully cause a rebound or setup a deflection now and then.
 
I’m hoping I’m wrong, however, the end of November and December might be a brutal stretch. The Kings need to beat teams like SJ, however, the other teams in the pacific are right behind them and most likely will pass them in the standings. Kings are third in the pacific and in the last six games, they are 2-4, with wins against the Wings, and Bluejackets, two non playoff teams. 3 losses against playoff teams and a maybe. With the way they are playing, by Dec 1, this Kings team might be 6th or 7th in the Pacific. Most likely the CA teams will be fighting it out for 6th, 7th and 8th. Lose to Seattle on Sat and they are most likely 6th. Hope for the best!

As predicted, this team isn’t good enough to compete, either on paper or on the ice. They’ve had a comparatively easy schedule for the most part, losing to the teams they were supposed to lose to. Now that we are getting into the meat of the season, I expect this team’s record to start sinking like a stone

I said last month my prediction was bottom 5 in the league before the season started. Knowing this team though... they may just be average enough to squeak into the playoffs and lose in 4 to the Oilers. Being 2nd or whatever we are in the division is a pure illusion - we "should" be first by a long shot if we were anywhere near being a better team than last year, which I mean 100% on paper we are not, and so many players are regressing. When I said Fire Todd I really meant get a totally new coach not his best friend that he brought in, and what I REALLY meant was fire Luc and Blake and Todd, but eh we'll see. The ~10 minutes of no shots a game is the most worrying to me, and the inability to beat bad teams, and 22/55/24 and others total regressions and Hillers constant mind games with the lines and being "fine" with games like Buffalo.
 
soooo.....do I repeat the poll question from this game for tomorrow? Or do we just pretend like that never happened?

*I will NOT be in attendance for tomorrow's game, although my Magical Poll Powers do seem to also work from afar for road games
