It's a shame we have to constantly be concerned about things like this. I spent the majority of my career working downtown, and it was never a factor until about fifteen years ago. Then it became an issue we had to monitor daily. We needed to advise our employees to take alternate routes or go to other jobsites. Along with no longer having to get up at 3:00am or use outhouses or deal with clueless engineers/architects, it was one of the best parts about finally retiring. Life is hard enough with having a group of screaming morons with signs stopping traffic and affecting our ability to get from point A to point B. One time in 2010 some idiots shut down the 101 and our delivery truck never made it. That ultimately cost us a major contract. And what about emergency vehicles or first responders? It's selfish and dangerous.
But no, I didn't hear or see anything. However nothing would surprise me anymore.
