If it wasn't for the poor play of the teams below the Kings in the standings, the Kings would be in danger of playing themselves out of a playoff spot. But then again they do this every January.
I stopped at the 2ndAs much as I love to watch Kings hockey, I turned off the game after the 1st. It has been a long while since I have done that. Like Kopitar would say, "obviously," the Kings were not ready to play. One regulation win in the last six won't get it done. At least they will have an easier contest on Wednesday![]()
Not sure why I'm still watching, sad I love the Kings... The entire team needs to regroup or realize this is as good as it gets...
Me too! I can’t remember the last time I didn’t finish watching a whole game. I had to be at work at 6 am yesterday. I think Kings were more sleepy than me. I was hoping I’d wake up and see there was a miracle at the Crypt!I stopped at the 2nd
Until the Kings can figure out how to get some production from their power play, the Vilardi trade will continue to haunt them (seriously, what the hell was Rob Blake thinking?).Beating the dead horse…. But Blake makes no trades at all Kings are running away with the division. How many point would Vilardi have made in the standings and getting PP time?
Hot damn…moving on up.Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed the under 6'-0" crowd would be awarded 6 points on the night:

I'll be honest the drive back through the polar vortex from Detroit to Chicago combined with the CFB blowout and that blowout led to lots of naps in front of the TV. I know Luc and Co wanted to do right by LA but too much ceremony never works in this clubs favor. I think the last time they won when they did a thing was on Dustin Brown night (also against the penguins) and that one had to be rearranged and condensed because there was a thunderstorm outside for the scheduled unveiling of the statue.
In any case lets hope the January doldrums just haven't taken hold, they're hard to shake.
The others are just very inconsistent. QB will score a bunch of goals and then fall off the face of the earth. Moore should be on a milk carton as missing, Phil is playing solid D but his goal scoring has dried up. 3 goals this season while scoring 17, 18 and 27 over the previous 3. Not ready to proclaim that the sky is falling but I was really worried about another poor January like last season as well.Teams that are ahead of us in the standings have their best players playing their best hockey. Kings do not. That's why they are where they are. We have our 2 reliable players in Kopi and Kempe. Clarke has picked up his game. Kuemper has been a solid tender. Now, what about QB? Fiala? Danault? Moore? It shows when Kempe/Kopitar struggle because it usually means a loss ... those other forwards are not pulling their weight ($) IMO.
I NEVER leave early, and seriously considered leaving after the 2nd period. Only reason we stayed is that we've been pretty good in the 3rd this season. We were not good in the 3rd.Needing a lift after the Rams miracle comeback failed Sunday, I was considering going to the game last night. Thank God I'm fighting a cold. I can't imagine sitting through 60 minutes of that crappola.
That's funny. I was thinking the same exact thing. I've been pounding NyQuil like it's Bud Light... and the Kings were playing exactly like I feel: crappy.I NEVER leave early, and seriously considered leaving after the 2nd period. Only reason we stayed is that we've been pretty good in the 3rd this season. We were not good in the 3rd.
I'm thinking maybe some of the guys were under the weather considering that Jim Fox was too sick to broadcast that last game of the roadie?? Hopefully that's what it was?
you did watch it all....3rd period was a repeat of the 2nd.Speaking of turning off early, I watched the first 2 periods while at the gym after work. I stopped after the 2nd, got cleaned up, then decided to post here. For some reason I thought I watched the whole game. Then I realized I didn’t. Oh well, it doesn’t change anything I said.
I stopped watching at 2-0. It was obvious the team hadn't shown up so why bother.Me too! I can’t remember the last time I didn’t finish watching a whole game. I had to be at work at 6 am yesterday. I think Kings were more sleepy than me. I was hoping I’d wake up and see there was a miracle at the Crypt! Two words for last nights game. Sloppy, Pathetic! You all had more emotion against the Jets! Would have been nice if you had that same emotion in LA for the firefighters and the community!
