End of 1st period. A brutal, yet excellent period for LA and a terrible one for the Guppies. I'm beginning to think SJ started to become crap the moment Little Joe and then Jumbo Joe left the team. Then Burns departed for Carolina and the transformation to bottom-feeders became complete for the Guppies and now they're a far cry from the perpetually annoying playoff contenders they were for the past two decades. But let's not get ahead of ourselves; there's still 40 more minutes of hockey left.

Ugh, the Guppies score. 3-1 LA. The Kings were unable to clear the puck in their zone and that allowed SJ to find chances and then score. Stay out of the box for crying out loud.

For a lowly team, the Guppies' PK sure is working well against LA's PP. Now LA is 0 for 2. Man, LA continues to be predictable with their passing attempts on the PP.
