What the hell happened to Trevor Moore? Easily my least favorite player this season.

It’s pretty funny how the season keeps playing out the same way the last 3 years. Start out hot. Hit a wall in January. Float into the playoffs. Get run out of the building by the more talented Oilers in round 1.

I expect Blake to make a big splash this week. And I fear that splash will be a belly flop.

I kind of expect him to do absolutely nothing because either he thinks we're perfect as we are or is hopefully finally being restricted from higher ups from being himself.

I hope you’re right. I just get this feeling he’s going to buy high on Rickard Rakell. RR is a good player but he’s also 31 and having the best season of his career. He’s shooting over 17% on the season. He’s a career 11% shooter.
 
Does LA being last in power plays confirm we don't have enough skill for a more sustained attacks, or is it scheme/coaching, or effort/conditioning or all of the above?

Why would they want immediate help? That team is going nowhere but down. Spence, a second and a Helenius might be enough… but then look how Tampa just way overpaid to Seattle.

They want immediate help because whiz kid Dubas (though no longer a kid) is there to make it all better. Or maybe they have their own Kopi/Doughty parallel in Sid who doesn’t want to stick around for one of those either.

Sid and Geno aren’t going anywhere. Plus Karlsson and Letang have a combined 16M cap hit for 2 more seasons after this one. They are DEEP in the black hole and there’s no getting out alive.

I bet RR ends up in LA but I don’t love his contract unless Moore or Danault is going back the other way. I‘ve read that Kempe and Rackell are pretty close so the fit seems pretty obvious.
