End of 2nd period. The game remains tied at 1-1 for now. Gavy made a smart read using his body to prevent another potential scoring chance by TB at the end of the period. But the Bolts are taking over again in their forecheck against LA and had them on their heels, if not for Kuemper's sharpness on net. The 3rd period is next and LA has to wake up and get back to their dominant form that they were in the past few games.

Wow, a whopping 11 shots on goal. Kings lucky to be in this thing still. For whatever reasons, the Kings are not sharp tonight. Too many days off?

Jeff Carter in the intermission. I miss ol' Carts. He was one of the essential players in the Kings roster in the 2010s and was a big contributor to those two Cup wins.
It will be interesting to see how long he continues to do nothing in retirement. A while back they asked the Kings players who was most likely to become a GM and Carter's name came up the most.
