***LA Kings vs. Vancouver Canucks GDT 11/7/24 7:30pm on FanDuel & Spanish Radio!***

The Kings lost and you're not all doom and gloom.

This is not my beautiful LGK!?! How did I get here!?!

Vancouver owns me.

It was a virtual guarantee the Kings lose with me in attendance. Surrounded by LOTS of Asian Nucks fans...not necessarily rude, more like politely obnoxious...it started off great with QB, then they owned us. Crisp passing and lots of sticks in lanes. A very well-coached team.

The last time I saw the Kings beat the Canucks, Jesus was still a baby.

Vancouver owns me.

Responsibility for this loss is squarely on the shoulders of Tanner Jeannot. His senseless attack on Boesser energized the Canucks and cursed the Kings. I didn't understand his acquisition at the time and I like it even less now. He should become the designated healthy scratch after the suspension we know is coming.

That certainly was not a smart play.

Strange game. When QB made that nifty move to score, it happened right in front of me, and I had just trashed QB here recently. I could have sworn he looked up at me after the goal and said "Regress this!" Just kidding of course, but man what a strong elite play. Unfortunately it was all downhill after that. I didn't think the Kings played that bad. The Nucks were simply the better team last night.

Congratulations to the following posters who correctly guessed that 6 points would be accredited to the American players per Nyssa's list (I wouldn't trust me to check that list):

We were celebrating a friends birthday with the Piano Guys in Wisconsin so I didn't get back for this one until late and when I turned on the TV it was to see Mikey skating off with a towel and blood all about the ice. My viewership did not spark the team like it did against the wild, but I have to say it was an effort that I have a hard time contextualizing. Last year I would have bet dollars to pesos that the first home game after finishing a roadie with a b2b where they got 4 of 4 was an automatic loss. While that would still be true in this instance it didn't feel like those games often were. I don't know what that means though, if anything. It might just be that these are two good teams and last night Vancouver came out on top.

I also don't know what to do with that Jeannot hit. It's clearly late and to the head so I get the 5 and game. Boeser not returning to the game could mean a lot of things but historically DOPS takes that into account when spinning their wheel of justice. The one thing this team hasn't really had since.....I don't even know who would have been the last.... was a threat on the ice to take out any of the other teams players with their play. Having those kinds of players in your locker room necessitates a culture that's going to be quick to engage in a way that lots of people have complained about this team not engaging for several years. I suspect that this aspect will be a work in progress for a bit.
