***LA Kings vs. Vancouver Canucks GDT 11/7/24 7:30pm on FanDuel & Spanish Radio!***

Thank you, Susan et al!

5, 6, or 7 points for US born

Hey jammer! On the last GDT I had 11 points in the poll question rankings. After getting 4 more points added today, shouldn’t my total now be 15? Not 14? Thank you.

GKG!!!
I found it, game 10 I didn't get your point recorded in the spreadsheet against the Sharks, in fact I missed @sonnyboy11 , @TooCool, and @VegasHockey too, I seem to have corrected @DRice for that one. I'll advise Nyssa to make sure our lists match.

Vancouver owns me.

It was a virtual guarantee the Kings lose with me in attendance. Surrounded by LOTS of Asian Nucks fans...not necessarily rude, more like politely obnoxious...it started off great with QB, then they owned us. Crisp passing and lots of sticks in lanes. A very well-coached team.

The last time I saw the Kings beat the Canucks, Jesus was still a baby.

Vancouver owns me.
this was admittedly quite a while ago, so things have changed a bit since circa 2011-2012, but i was sitting in the lower bowl for a kings/canucks game and there was a couple next to us rooting for the canucks. We started chatting and it turned out that it was cheaper for them to fly from vancouver to LA and buy lower bowl tickets, that to watch a home game.

LA always garners a lot of opposing fans due to the nature of people living in los angeles from all over the world, but ive always hated going to Vancouver and Detroit games the most 🤣

I went to every playoff game in 2010. The Canucks fans were the worst I had ever experienced in-person. I can still remember the guy behind me in game 4 who I had been going back and forth with a little bit. He was so over the top. Ar one point I thought he was actually trying to demonstrate good sportsmanship by high fiving me, only to pull his hand away and laugh like a hyena when i tried to actually meet his apparent olive branch.

Good news is Canucks lost in 2011 and while I’ll never know how he reacted that night, I know he was watching.

Canucks currently have some players I really like. Boeser, Miller, Joshua, Soucy. The team has been pathetic for a while so I don’t hate them anymore. I just want to ignore their fans best I can so if they do win I don’t mind it. I don’t need two Oilers teams in my life.

Responsibility for this loss is squarely on the shoulders of Tanner Jeannot. His senseless attack on Boesser energized the Canucks and cursed the Kings. I didn't understand his acquisition at the time and I like it even less now. He should become the designated healthy scratch after the suspension we know is coming.
Disagree. His late hit was stupid but isn't the reason for the loss. Vancouver has an excellent passing game that was on full display the previous game against the quacks. That passing game was beginning to exert itself even before Jeannot's brain fart. A well coached team that pretty much bottled up the Kings all evening. Kuemper swatting in their 1st goal didn't help much either.

I love that 2010 vancouver team, for without it this video never gets made:

I think you are underestimating the vast momentum swing toward the ‘nucks following that negligent act of thug-ness. Following that incident, the Kings were tentative on offense and on their heels on defense until the end of the 3rd period.

I have never seen this. I have to admit that is really well done.

I also have to admit them currently using “Don’t You Forget About Me” as a goal song is pretty rad. Damn Vancouver, don’t want to like you, but I don’t mind you.

Nyssa's list is way off now....I'm gonna trust jammer. I've had a week....really 2 weeks.....doing GDTs at 2am, so I don't trust my list at all!

The way it absolutely captures the Canucks fans, plus they got just that one more win....

Perhaps, but I'll agree to disagree. Kings were on their heels largely because of the canucks superior passing game.
