***LA Kings @ Washington Capitals GDT 10/22/22 4:00pm on BSW***

Caps again out hustle the Kings for another goal. Take it to the net, Quick probably should have it but it's par for the course. I would rather the Kings stay out on the road as least they have a chance. Lightening will light them up at home. I don't see a win on the home stand
 
Quick too long in the tooth and Petersen....well, he's just what he is
 
Just get this game over with, two more goals for the Caps. Just so disappointing but that will be the theme this season. No defense!

Bah, terrible to lose when had a 2 goal lead. Shows the weaknesses of this team.
 
Probably the first game I'm really disappointed because Kings were playing defensively better for two periods than the other games, but blow it in the third. Bad D illuminates how bad goalies play (although Quickie was fine most of this game.)
 
It seemed the Kings went into protect mode after getting their 2nd goal. Really disappointing 3rd period.
 
Bjornfot has his problems but not better without him so far.

1-5-1 vs. 3-4. The 7 game win streak that followed last season’s early slump came in part from very good goaltending.

Some very exciting goals this year. And they are making the losses harder to take.

I posted something positive about this team getting younger. OTH one word that comes to mind with this team is “immature.”
 
A 3-2 road trip is supposed to be a good thing but to me it’s a disappointment. It’s because of how they lost, getting blown out by Pittsburgh then blowing a 2 goal lead in the 3rd this game. I don’t think any of the goals were necessarily bad goals, a few were bad luck. I think it was more a lack of offense. The 2nd line played well but the other 3 not so much, especially the 1st line. And I don’t know what was going on at the end of the game when they won 5 of 6 offensive zone face offs & had no good scoring chances. Maybe put the puck on net, maybe get some rebound chances.
 
I thought the playoff team we were at the end of last season would carry over a bit better into this season. We seem more lost and disjointed than beginning last year. IDK. Coach? I guess that's what he was talking about at the end of the year about "doing something with it". Hopefully they get their **** together sooner than later. Our D sucks way too hard to start "protecting the lead" like we tried to do, all the way up to us not having the lead and the end of the game. Young team with aging vets needs to have foot on the gas all game, especially when neither goalie is gonna bail us out anymore.
