Last Movie Watched

I wouldn't mind, but tell me why I should watch it anyway.

Well, that depends on whether or not you like Greek Mythology like stories about Orpheus and Eurydice. ;)

But it's set in a really lush setting and it's really an interesting version of the Orpheus character. But I am biased.

I have always wanted to watch The Honeymoon Killers.

French Cliffhanger meets Wrong Turn. If you have a heights thing...this is worth a watch.

Watching this now...not available for a really long time, my '70's mentor(Randy Cook!!!!) told me forever how awesome this flick was...he was right. It's Rocky Horror without the great love. De Palma to boot. I think a really loaded Blu is on the way so check it out.

Stamp>Caine if you ask me...know most will disagree. They use that same old movie flashback gag in Goldmember, ironically for Michael Caine.

I'm not sure if I would argue that or not. They're both pretty awesome. And, yeah, The Limey is a great ****in' movie.

Saw this again this morning. The director, Edward Zwick, makes beautiful movies about war and it's consequences(this and Glory). Great performances...say what you want about T.C., but dude is a helluva an actor. The premise is a bit shaky, but it's just so good it's hard to complain. Hey Adgy, when you watch this do you fantasize that it's you in the Cruise part???:15smile: B.T.W. Watanabe is a badass, so is Hiroyuki Sanada.

Heh.

I agree about Tom Cruise. Dude is bat****, but he's got talent. I also enjoy this movie thoroughly. I don't care if it's Dances With Japanese Wolves.

Heh. I do. AND all the cool Japanese dudes die and what are we left with? Some dirty white guy.

EDIT: hmm there use to be a picture of Black Swan here before...

I've been on a run of really good movies lately. This was amazing and Portman was every bit as good as the hype.

But Koyuki lives, so it's ok.

Which one is that guy? If it's not Sanada they forgets it. That's one sexy bitch. Honestly I saw The Last Samurai and when I got to the end all I could think of was "That's it? What an incredibly unoriginal movie." Cruise should have died or something a la Glory.

Watched this film for the first time recently

I've yet to see a Chan Wook Park film that wasn't absolutely brilliant, JSA was no exception. An all-around superb movie.

watched another fantastic Korean film

I'm pretty convinced now that no one makes better crime movies than the Koreans. This was ****ing intense and kept building my adrenaline for almost the entire movie.

I saw Thor today, and really liked it a lot more than I thought it would! It's as good if not better than the first Iron Man film, and gives me hope that the Green Lantern will be just as good (was one of the previews before Thor). If you enjoy these types of movies, go see Thor because it's a winner in my book.

Only $8 at Best Buy. BoobyTrap and I watched it with my parents. Heh.

Every bit the horrible movie you've heard. Just painful on a technical level, and with horrible dialog, acting and effects. It was pretty damn funny, but nowhere even close to "the best worst movie" like the quote from CBS says. Anybody who thinks that needs to watch some more awesomely horrible movies.

But, yeah, definitely worth a rental. Listened to the commentary by the director on one of the deleted scenes and it seems like the feature commentary might actually make this one worth buying. It was really that bad/awesome.

Finally got to see this, thought it was pretty entertaining. The battle at the end was kind of ridiculous but all in all it was a good film.
