I ****ing LOVE Inception and I don't care. Every second of it. I would let Chris Nolan touch me inappropriately for having made it.

No, this is absolutely my type of movie and has everything that I like in spades. I was trying to remember the day.... and ohhh yes. It all came back: my wife in a mood, burning my left ear complaining non-stop about well, pretty much everything (including LDC whom she loathes), until the one hour mark when after asking constantly what the hell was going on she finally gave up and (by the grace of god) bailed downstairs. I thought it was a cool concept and easy to understand but she has little patience for layers and complexities when she's not feeling it. So after finishing it alone and being massively stimulated by the movie and completely exhausted by her I spent the entire dinner AND THEN THE NEXT MORNING trying to explain it (which is not easy btw) because now she wanted to know. Yeah, I guess it WAS f***ing tiring.

Yeah, there's an exclusive club...:chesh:

I'm out of the loop. Does CYF still have free reign over Adgyparts? Or is he like sooo 4 years ago?

Oh man, so easy to forget. Not just Eddie...who is magic. Really, this is star turn stuff...and he just burnt it to a cinder. But Nick Nolte. Man oh man...one of my first real 'holy crap' moments was Rich Man Poor Man. And Nick Nolte was a god...Falconetti...the whole story. I remember buying the book and reading it as if it were scripture...

Anyway, so easy to forget how magic a moment this movie was. Some tidbits, Billy Bear(who was the indian in Predator...c'mon the bridge scene) James Remar(Dexter's Dad) and most important, early on Johnathan (mike the fixer)Banks shows up.

This is just a must see movie.

Oh, and the Busboys...ROCK!!!!!!!

Saw Moonrise Kingdom yesterday.

Fascinating. If Wes Anderson isn't your cup of tea, you probably won't like it.

I'll have to see it several times to notice everything that is happenning.

Loved The Raid. One of the most intense action films I've ever seen. Once the fighting starts it almost never lets up. If you're an action fan you'll love this one.

Whoa!! Like John Woo and Quentin Tarantino had a baby who grew up to direct this. Some Hard Boiled, some Kill Bill and everything in between. A must for action fans.

I finally watched RoboCop, having only seen various snippets here and there. Wow, what an f-d up work of genius. I am still cracking up from the OCP executive who leaned forward to get a better look at his former coworker falling out the window and then gave RoboCop props for it.

Has Christopher Nolan made a movie that isn't great?

Memento: A
The Prestige: A+
Batman Begins: A
The Dark Knight: A+
Inception: A

Badlands is a work of genius, btw. It leaves Born To Run in the dust.

Slightly ashamed to admit I've only seen the Batman movies on that list even though I purchased Memento on DVD for $5 a few years back. I can't believe I haven't watched it yet.

I'm slowly going through a list of well received/reviewed movies that I have never seen. With my grandmother about to pass, this one was a little harder for me to watch right now then it would have been but I loved it.

Watched this for the second time. The Skin I Live In is a masterpiece, pure and simple. Almodovar is one of the most brilliant storytellers, and the way he weaves this tale together is pretty much flawless. I picked up on quite a few things that had completely passed me by the first time I watched it. Probably my favorite Almodovar film to date.

This nice little Frenchie puts a pretty unique twist on the typical kidnapping genre. The victim is as you might expect: an ultra-wealthy head of a large and powerful firm with celebrity type status. Given his position and with a wife and kids there's naturally plenty of concern, fear, and hand-wringing over his safe return. BUT, as the days and weeks pass, the deepening investigation brings more and more unsavory details about the victim's habits and excesses to the surface creating an interesting mix of sympathy and disdain by the time the climax arrives.

I'll leave it at that in case anybody wants to watch for themselves. The action scenes are few and far between, but there's plenty of sustained tension. A little slow in places, but recommended nonetheless.

I've skipped over this so many times and not really sure why, especially since I like Almodovar. But you've sold me and I'll give it a spin soon.

I second The Skin I live In. It's a long trip...and I do mean trip, but one worth taking. I gotta watch Up...and Ratatoille(sorry, you spell it)...also thoughts and prayers Lagwagon.

In other news, Thanks to pay cable my 4th consisted of

Sorry, but that is too kickass and made my holiday viewing a no brainer.

this was on last night. I love the cast. Before you complain about Mohr or the kid from ET or the Boondock Saint that wasn't Norman 'Darryl' Reedus...Dennis Leary is awesome in this. As is Walken. Brad Garrett as one half of a mulletheaded goomba team is pretty fun too. I don't know what it is about Jeremy Sisto, ever since Six Feet Under, if he's in something I will probably watch it. Anyway, it's a good little minor flick.

I remember liking Suicide Kings when it came out, but that's about all I remember. Crazy Stupid Love is on HBO lately so I can see if it is terrible if I want. Steve Carrell was great in Dan In Real Life, which was a surprisingly good movie - a romantic comedy that takes place in the actual real world, so I would have thought he would be decent in Crazy Stupid Love.

The kid from ET gotta eat.

Better than All About my Mother? :O

I thought so, just my opinion though.

I also chuckled when I saw that someone named LetTigerIn liked my post about The Skin I Live In. (anyone who's seen the movie will know why)

This movie was pretty fun, great cast. Christopher Lloyd and Treat Williams have pretty awesome characters.

Also saw a movie with the aforementioned Sisto. Unknown is another movie with a solid cast, pretty intriguing plot and it's fun to watch the whole story unfold.

Not a ton I saw I wanted to watch but Amazon Prime on PS3 has allowed me to catch a few I wanted to see for free.
