Wasn't sure what to expect going into it, seemed like it had the potential to just be stupid. But it was really good and funny.

Finally netflixed this in Blu-Ray. The history police bitched about inaccuracies, but whatever. Thought it was great. Not perfect, but a big, beautifully shot and awesomely violent epic that was thoroughly enjoyed as entertainment.

If a sequel comes, I'll hit the theater for sure.

You mean it didn't show that Genghis Khan did like Twinkies like it did in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure? :)

Not Guy Ritchie's best film, but extremely entertaining nonetheless. Definitely worth watching if you liked Snatch or Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels

I thought it was rather weak. Lock Stock is one of my all-time faves, and I like Snatch a lot as well. I can barely remember anything about this flick. Very Meh, IMHO.

Adgy took me to the AFI special presentation of North by Northwest last night and it was one of the greatest movie experiences I've had. They had a little Q&A with Martin Landau and Eva Marie Saint (who, is still pretty hot for an older lady) right before. An extra plus of the night? We got the 50th anniversary edition dvd of the movie for free. Yep, they were handing it out after the movie. Which is awesome because technically I didn't double dip by going out and buying the blu ray version of the movie just now. WIN.

OOOf I have watched some turds lately. Kingsqueen had it so right, I tried to pop this in the player multiple times...and she would have none of it!
So I punished myself instead. I love Rob Schneider...but in this flick, which he directed(HORRIBLY!!!!!), he is a complete and utterly unlikable turd. No charm/humor whatsoever. He actually tries to make something that resembles a BAD Steven Segal flick(yes that is redundant...that's how bad this was). And worst of all the supporting cast, Sally Kirkland(unrecognizable and topless, even Kathy Bates shrieked in horror), M.Emmett Walsh(anyone got him inna death pool?), and worst of all Henry Gibson and David Carradine in one of the last movies on their resume. THEY DESERVED BETTER!!!! Stay away from this at all costs!

SWEET JEEBUS...this flick is so bad that it makes a Jessica Biel nude scene boring and unwatchable...ARE YOU READING THIS???? Impossible you say...I dare you to watch this movie. Doc Naysay is well known for his hatred of CRASH. Well this movie is CRASH done poorly enough to make Doc go running for his extra-special edition of CRASH on dvd to appreciate the subtlety. The only way I got thru this was another solid performance by Ray Liotta despite the odds being stacked against him. Oof this stinks to high heaven, also avoid!

This was better...B.T.W.(Unfiltered, Joe should love this)

Harmless cartoon with cool character designrippedfronnightmarebeforxmas and good celeb voicework from Cusack, Sean Hayes, Eddie Izzard, John Cleese...and best of all Steve Buscemi! Man he rules as far as cartoon voiceovers go.

I feel it should also be mentioned that the print they screened was EASILY the best looking print of any movie I have ever seen. I could not believe how good it looked. If it weren't for the clothes and the cars, you'd never have believed the movie was so old.

Anyway.

I'm sorry to say I haven't seen a whole hell of a lot of Blaxploitation films, but after seeing this, that's going to change. This movie ****ing rocked!
