I dug it.

I dug it as well.

My kids loved it.

Oh I didn't know you didn't like Quentin Tarantino either. I thought I represented a very, very, very small minority. I didn't really have a choice. It was that or pay attention to Star Trek since my brother was watching it in the same room.

What? Hilary Duff in a non Disney, teeny bopper movie?????!!?

yeah, it's been well established around here that i am most definitely NOT a Tarantino fan... i have been... entertained by a couple of his films, but that's about the extent of it.

Duff and Marisa Tomei were great and John Cusack was John Cusack. Joan Cusack and Ben Kingsly were ridiculously over the top even for a tipped satire and were nearly intolerable, and Dan Akroyd's brief appearance (and it was brief) was WAY overboard and stupid... completely superfluous and kind of punctuated just why this movie missed the mark.

star trek - amazing, loved it
funny people - good, not great, and dragged because of how long it was
year one - terrible, terrible movie i wanted to turn it off in the first 15mins but my wife wanted to watch more... terrible

quantum-of-solace.jpg

Finally watched Quantum of Solace so Adgy would stop bringing it over for me to watch. This movie sucks even more than Casino Royale. I had to ask Adgy questions every 3 mins because I didn't know what was going on, the jerky, action sequences full of really short cuts made me dizzy, and I thought the plot was pretty boring. AND how could James Bond not bang Olga Kurylenko?!! I don't care how busy he was, James Bond ALWAYS has time to bang a hot chick. That consulate chick was meh. Also, am I the only one that thinks Daniel Craig is butt ****ing ugly????? Ugh, I hate the new James Bond.

We also watched In the Realm of the Senses...another movie where a dude's junk is a casualty. It was pretty strange and intensely pornographic. Not something to watch with your grandma, although a 68 year old lady does get busy with one of the main characters...

Last-House-on-Left_2009.jpg

So uneccessary...despite good performances by all involved...THIS MOVIE IS BO-RING...even with what seems like a 20 minute long rape scene, instead of the disgusted feeling the original elicited...followed by the justified violence, this movie just made me go...meh. You are never morally challenged by this flick. It just is not DARK enough. Like all remakes done in this era all of the sharp edges are sanded off. I hate this decade and the softass excuses for horror movies.

Thought this was a pretty great movie.

I just went to the theater on 01/01 with my sister and niece. They saw 2012 (already saw it) so I went and saw this. I thought it was a pretty good movie for the most part. With both of my sisters living in Chicago and me on my own in CA, it hit pretty close to home.

I also watched Inglourious Basterds not too long ago. I just couldn't really get into it. I like QT. The fragmentary nature bugged me too much this time around. I'd be willing to give a second chance though.

Watched Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus over the holidays and ended-up leaving disappointed. Moved WAY too slow in the first 45 mins. Acting was generally good. As Ledger's last movie, it makes you wonder what might've been. Waits was great as the devil character. Verne Troyer was actually funny for once. The girl was a fashion model? She was pretty good too.

It definitely was unique in style though. Just wished they would've done more with the story and had even more happen inside the mirror. If rating it, I'd give it around a 7/10.

I have not posted here in a while.

Saw Extraordinary Measures last night. Really liked this film. It marks the first release of CBS Films.
