Last Movie Watched

I just watched Daft Punk's Electroma and I thought it was really good. You definitely have to expend a good amount of patience to appreciate it, and it's more conceptual than it is narrative, but the movie maintains a certain feel throughout, has a few visually stunning scenes, and it's content is bursting with metaphor. Anyways, without trying to sound all hoity-toity, it's a peculiar movie that I really enjoyed (great soundtrack too, all from different bands/musicians). DBS (definitely better stoned)

Not as good as Street Kings, but still a fairly good movie. Val Kilmer does a great job portraying a lifer inmate.

Finally watched this and about 15 minutes in realized it was one of the best movies I've seen in a while.

This was a pretty strange movie but was good. My girlfriend is from Minneapolis so we listen to the radio show a lot, it was weird that the movie was about the show being cancelled when it actually hasn't been, but thats what one expects from a Robert Altman flick..a lot of bizarre ****.

Kevin Kline was fantastic as Guy Noir. Its a decent rental.

YES!!! One of the most charming and engaging movies ever made--animated or otherwise. ENORMOUS impact for a film without a single word spoken---and I'll never look at frogs the same way again. Oh yeah... friggin LOVE the square shoulder dudes.

I'll add one here that's not new, but for fans of animation (or just good stories) this is a great and REALLY touching film. Kirikou And The Sorceress. Put it in your queue NOW. SOOOO cute.

Went to the new Long Beach Art theatre last night and checked this out:

A strange and compelling documentary, definitely worth the price of admission.

I've heard Man On Wire was pretty good from a few people. I can't wait to see it.

It was actually better than I thought it was gonna be, and some of the music was decent.
