Not just for pro wrestling fans. Amazing drama with some incredible acting from the entire cast. Mickey Rourke's Randy The Ram is heartbreaking.

Just finished watching it. Great flick. JerseyDevil is going to LOVE it. Next up, Gran Torino.
 
Caught the Underworld prequel today. Decent enough flick following the brutal Evolution. Non-fans would be lost.
 
On the recommendation of ketel and The Natural (I think) finally saw:

They were right. REALLY dug this. As Sci-Fi flicks go it had originality (not easy to do), and looked and sounded ****ing great. Especially on Blu-Ray. I bought into it, and would definitely go higher than Rotten Tomatoes overall rating of 70-something percent, probably because I didn't mind the philosophical angle being interwoven which is what seemed to bother the critics. I could see it again.

We liked this too. Some good suspense and unexpected twists - and it does hold your interest - but looking back, I never found myself caring much about the fate of any of the characters. And Ben Kingsley didn't scare me like I'd hoped (not like Sexy Beast, anyway). Pretty good, but I'd personally go lower than R.T.'s 90+ percent.
 
I got to see both Frost/Nixon and Revolutionary Road this weekend.

I thought Langella was awesome in Frost/Nixon. Skeletor? Dracula? Richard Nixon? That man can do anything. :P

I thought the two main characters in Revolutionary Road were emotional, pretentious, and annoying. I guess I didn’t like them because they reminded me too much of myself, but they were better looking, of course. Lol! However, the film was well made and I liked the soundtrack.

Last flick I checked out was DEATH RACE with Jason Statham.

I was a pretty entertaining action movie with great race scenes. I am a big fan of the original Death Race 2000 that in my book is a cult classic. The two movies don?t really compare but if you like to be just entertained I recommend them both.

I think a Rotten Tomatoes score of 70 is about right. While beautifully shot, the story strayed into the formulaic a bit too much for me. I'd give it a score below 70 mostly because I'd hoped for a lot more and was disappointed.

Sucked. MAJOR. Ass.

I'm so glad I didn't waste the money/passes to see this in the theatre. I'd much rather watch Be Kind, Rewind over and over than to watch Pineapple Express again. Actually, I don't know that I'd care to see another Seth Rogan movie for that matter.

Decent movie. Not Cage's best flick, but it was worth the watch. I'd like to see the original.

Great movie! Hated the ending though. But I still hope to see it again, next time on a big screen rather than a screener dvd.

I'm leery about it though. I don't expect much from a movie based on a video game. I loved the game. But I also loved Hitman and the movie was disappointing.

Only probably the best movie ever made. Even killed a few White Russians for the occasion (which I'm feeling this morning).

I DVR'd it in HiDef, and it looked ****ing SPECTACULAR. WOW. When the Blu-Ray finally comes out it I'll be there with bells on me bools. As will most of the rest of the planet earth.
 
Watched Jumper the other day. Meh. It's a good thing Hayden Christensen is hot, cuz he can't act worth ****. Rachel Bilson is the one girl who makes me wish I had smokin' dark brown eyes. LOL.

Watched Death Proof last night. I don't care what people say, I love that movie.

Watching The Breakfast Club right now. Classic.

I've had Wanted for about 2 weeks now, have yet to watch it. Also have the LOTR trilogy on loan from someone, I need to watch that some day too.

Which version of Deathproof? I dug it too, but it definitely is a love it or hate it flick.

Wanted is fun as long as you a)never read the comic and b)don't expect a deep philosophical meditation...errr...look it's junkfood on toast...lower your expectations going in.:puff:

That's what I've been told about Wanted. I got it strictly for entertainment value.
