Last Movie Watched

I just watched slumdog millionaire, and I want my two hours of life back please. This movie was average, at best.

Just watched Young at Heart. Really good film, except that my netflix disc kept skipping, and it got real bad at their performance of Schizophrenia which really bugged. I was able to get through it though and I thought it was really entertaining.

I always wanted to see this movie in the theaters, but it seemed to come and go very quietly. Watched Slumdog Millionaire on Saturday and I enjoyed it. Plus, Frieda Pinto = hawt!

Watched Waltz with Bashir last night.

Holy crap, that movie was incredible. The last two minutes of the movie were intense, and for that reason I'm probably not going to want to see this movie more than once. I love everything about it, especially the way it was presented and the music.

Frost/Nixon... Good movie. Frank Langella did an excellent job.. I would recommend it..

Watched a couple recently:

Chaos Theory - caught this one on the 'free' HD movie channel. Lots of Canadian content in this (filmed in BC, Ryan Reynolds, a very under-dressed Sarah Chalke, etc.). Also stars Emily Mortimer and Stuart Townshend. Strange to describe without spoiling things... Kind of a dark comedy with serious parts. I found it quite watchable, and they even attend a hockey game. :) Rating's probably around a 7/10.

Passchendaele - Canadian drama/romance/war movie set during WW1. Written/directed/starring Paul Gross. Also stars Wonderfalls' Caroline Dharvanas (sp?). Filmed all around Calgary, so I had to pick it up. :) Rating is a solid 8/10 on Blu-Ray.

Went with a couple of Superbowl terror flicks:

Two Minute Warning is the classic 70's terror/disaster flick. Charlton Heston plays the lead in another one of his classic 70's disaster roles. There seemed to be no quota on how much blood to use when someone gets shot. This one i could see Tarantino doing a remake of.

Black Sunday is more in the political suspense thriller style, with Robert Shaw playing the lead investigator.
Both were very fun to watch.

Slumdog Millionaire is fantastic.

I watched Mr. Woodcock yesterday. Quite possibly one of the worst movies I've ever seen, but I can't say for sure. I kept falling asleep. Then again, that tells me all I need to know.

Watched 2 more "movies" this weekend:

The Ruins - An illogical "Horror" movie. Not much else to say about it. Rating: 4/10.

Doomsday - A Futuristic, Sci-fi, Virus, Thunderdome, Medieval, Road Warrior movie. LOL funny at times. Rhona Mitra was the only good thing in this. Rating: 5/10.

Watched The Mist last night. It's really F'd up like a lot of Stephen King material, but awesome at the same time. An easy 9/10 rating.

I just finished watching The Assassination of Jesse James, pretty good movie. Brad Pitt and Casey Affleck were both great I think.

"Cleaner" with Samuel Jackson - AWESOME movie!!! Great twist at the end.

"Dog Watch" with Sam Elliott - another great movie with a good twist in it.
