I went in with really low expectations but I ended up really liking it. I might even pick it up on blu ray once it hits the bargain bin

Watched Youth in Revolt this morning. I didn't like it. It reeked of Scott Pilgrim. Call me crazy but I'm just not down with watching some bungling young guy go through a bunch of **** for some aloof bitch. It just pisses me off and makes me want to beat the crap out of female love interest.

yeah wha? i thought it looked to be somewhat promising? please, tell us more.

To be fair, maybe my disappointment came from expecting this movie to be something other than what it was. I hadn't seen any trailers beforehand. I expected a modern version of a classic action/comedy movie, like a modern twist on Lethal Weapon or Die Hard. Unfortunately neither action nor comedy were any good. All they did was race from one location to the next, visiting the next wink-to-the-camera celebrity appearing on this piece of crap. That's literally the whole movie. Them going from one set to another to either ask for help or to question someone. Throw in a few moments of John Malkovich acting insane (like he does in every movie), an old lady shooting big guns (that's so hilariously crazy right? I mean an old lady shooting a gun!) and some weird, unnecessary artsy angle and there you have it, Red. The script is as stupid as Bruce Willis' acting is stale.

Like I said, I probably doomed the movie by expecting something else but for me, this is the worst movie of 2010. At least out of the ones supposed to be good.

i can't believe i never paid attention to this thread before!

ok, well, i just saw blue valentine. great (and depressing!) movie.

I did enjoy Clash of the Titans (remake). I still love the classic tho.

that freakin sucks about Red. so I guess I will just not waste my time unless otherwise, but i'd rather watch so many other potential awesome movies.

rcc, welcome! can't believe you haven't been in here yet. I'll have to check out that movie you mentioned. will I cry? lol

Blood:_The_Last_Vampire_1.jpg

Watched this last night because it's been so long that I've been entertained by a movie. Yeah...it was bad. Some of the special effects looked like Harryhausen did it but the cgi blood was comical. I heard it was bad from Adgy but it was entertaining for a late night movie. You can't go wrong with an asian chick in a school girl uniform kicking ass with a sword.

My one gripe about the movie? Too much screaming. From EVERYONE. Especially Gianna Jun. Geezus.

It's actually better than I thought it was going to be. Better than a syfy channel 'original' which I figured it was going to be like

DAMN...WALL-E...jayzus...Tito...get me a tissue.

you know i was moved and usually I would cry like a baby to these kinds of movies, but I didn't to this one. I felt it, but nothing escape my eyes. Great movie though. Even if kids won't really understand it, hopefully some do and realize that it's something they might have to face or their children or grandchildren might have to face.
and i guess I will never believe in robots or machines having emotions or feelings, but Wall-E and EVE were so cute.
