Last Movie Watched

Oh and I was going to add that after sitting through 3 movies that had to do with relationships, I have no desire to watch Happy Together.

All WKW does is show women who can't ****ing help themselves out for the life of them. They get treated like **** and they don't ****ing do anything. Except for Michelle Reis' character. Who in probably THE BEST WKW character ever. And don't whine to me about "she overreacted." You p*ss off a chick, what did you expect was going to happen? The only good male WKW character is a ****ing dead one. With a whole bunch of ****ing bullet holes in him. Serves him right.

In that it's complete bull**** and shows women in a pathetic light .

How are the guys in his movies any different?

Let's look at the 3 movies of his you've seen all the way through--

Chungking Express: Not a whole lot of heartbreak in this one, although Tony gets dumped at one point, but he connects with Faye Wong at the end. So we'll call it even, even though Tony is the one who has to be all emo.

In The Mood For Love: Tony and Maggie are in exactly the same boat. Even.

Fallen Angels: Michele gets hurt by Leon, but kills him and gets with Takeshi Kaneshiro instead. Advantage women.

Right?

Tony Leung's character got it pretty bad in ITMFL.

I'd love to see how you'd react to some Leone movies lol

But seriously, you're missing the whole point if you think that WKW's movies are anti-feminine

:106smile:What happened??? Did the Asian film thread declare war and occupy this thread? Shifty Asians...ancient Chinese secret indeed :10smile::nuts::evilgrin:

I saw Demolition Man when it come out as a kid! :D

I remember that scene where Stallone kicks some ass and Bullock is totally into it and she asks him if he would like to have sex, and Sly is, um, with you, and she is um, like, yeah!

And they go and have some bad virtual reality sex.

When bad virtual reality sex happens, um, yeah, no one wins. no:

The Black Swan...Didn't see Natalie Portman at all.

It was ok, lots of action at times, but I really don't think the director could ever figure out if he was making a dark comedy with aging assassins or an assassin movie with some dark humor and stuff blowing up every 20 minutes.Malkovich is good in it as a paranoid ex-assassin. Also, I never knew a forklift could explode in such a spectacular way.

Just saw it yesterday. A must for any serious Sci Fi fan, a strong recommendation for anyone else. Real good movie and Sam Rockwell is fantastic.

Top notch thriller about a man trying to find the truth about his wife's death. Thoroughly enjoyed it and didn't want it to end.

For the first time, believe it or not. Enjoyed it quite a bit. The cinematography was especially excellent. The ending has been spoiled, of course, but I still thought it was really interesting.

Excellent thriller about French resistance fighters during the German occupation in WWII. The commentary track is also really good, helping to put a lot of the smaller things into historical perspective. Recommended.

Good movie. Not a comedy, a LOT better than the trailer made it look. Will Ferrell actually pulled of a very good performance in a completely dramatic role.

Love it. :D

The Simpsons have made references of the film so many times that some of the creators on the show have said that they can piece the film together from the scenes that they have referenced on the show. ;)

I think it took me 3 or 4 tries to like CK. First couple of times, just bored the hell out of me. Couldn't get into it. Finally, I guess I saw it in the right mood and finally understood why it is a masterpiece.

pretty good. slow at times and maybe could have had something a lil more to it, but i enjoyed it. Kristen Stewart did a pretty convincing job as much as i tried to separate her from the horrible Twilight BS. Fanning was just ok to me, not really into her acting.

i am a sucker for psychological movies and I really enjoyed this one. It was quite a trip. Adrien Brody imo is a great actor (and hot), but Keira Knightley I had trouble with. All i could see was Elizabeth Swan. But she pulled it off enough for me.

I really liked this movie. Pretty much what you'd expect from Gasper Noe - unique, breathtaking, bizarre, debauched, and brilliant. Definitely not a movie that most people will appreciate, especially if you haven't seen anything else by Noe. If you liked Irreversible then you'll probably appreciate this movie as well. I personally absolutely loved it and would recommend it if you're in the mood for a wild, unconventional film.
