Last Movie Watched

Watched Brick last night on DVD. Wasn't really impressed with the story (been done before) or dialog (just plain weird), but it was well shot. I'd probably give it a 3/5.
 
I watched Havoc last night. Minus the brief glimpses at Anna Hathaway's tits. The movie was terrible.

I liked that movie. Saw it about a year ago though, the UK version, which has a different ending. A hell of alot better than The Cave.
In fact, I think I'll watch The Descent again this weekend, from the comfort of my home.
Last movie I watched was Poseidon. Wasn't too bad, moved a little to quickly for my liking though. Movie starts, all of a sudden, 15 mins. later, all hell is breaking lose.

Saw the Johnny Depp Willy Wonka movie the other day. Better than I thought it was gonna be but I'm still partial to the Gene Wilder original.

I wish people would stop referring to "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" as "the original" as if Burton's "Charlie" is a remake. It's not a remake. It is a different and more accurate adaptation of the book.

Oh, and I just watched "Network" last night. It's always great to go back to the classics. "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" tomorrow night. ;)

especially that whole backstory, huh? which significantly changes the character ENTIRELY!

had the other movie never existed, this one would've still been wretched... Roald Dahl would've hated it just as much as he supposedly hated the other one. remember, the one he was rumored (according to an interview with Gene Wilder) to have felt too closely resembled the book, and subsequently signed off on all of the re-writes?

personally, i appreciated the "Hsaw Aknow" MUCH more than the cotton candy sheep.
 
Watched Mean Creek a few days ago. Decent indie flick about kids and a bully... had a kind of Stand By Me vibe.
 
aside from that sorry ass candy movie, i recently watched a 1998 flicker called Divorcing Jack. it's about a journalist who gets all mixed up in a murder which involves a politician and the IRA, with David Thewlis... i like David Thewlis, so i liked this movie... he always has nifty dialogue, and i think he's a terrific actor!
 
The Producers...the first one with Zero Mostel and Gene Wilder. Pretty funny stuff...badly dated but still funny.

I really enjoyed this film, never saw the original but this was a good time.
 
Just watched "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" last night. Nothing new or original, but even the second time around, great movie.
