Wow... I don't check this thread for about a week and all hell breaks loose! wtf?

Once again I just want to clarify that this thread really wasn't created by me nor was the title something I would have EVER chosen. (Hooray for my practice pics getting derailed and mods making a win-win thread split.)

However, I could write a essay or ten about the double standards of society, especially those about females into in male-dominated sports/interests. It seems that I come across this in almost every forum I'm on, be it hockey, cars, or motorcycles (and it gets old!!!).

This whole puck bunny nonsense should be dropped since the women posting eye candy actually know about the sport and the players.... the looks of some players are just a perk. You guys don't really take the female posters into consideration before posting about ice girls in every game day photo thread. Maybe there should be a male-version of this thread just for ice girl photos so then the women can be spared all the hoop-law when we just want to see game day pics of *omg* the game!

I just find it amusing how quickly some jump to conclusions about how the women follow hockey just to drool over dudes. Seriously? I'm sure that applies to many women out there, but leave some of the posters alone here when it's obvious it's just an outlet for fun and not all that the poster(s) focuses on. Besides... who really cares? There's ONE thread where people can be amused from pictures of hockey players (which are difficult to come across anyway), whereas the myriad of ones with ice girls.

I dunno... it all seems a bit one-sided to me.

Agree the puck bunny nonsense should stop. I have only had to delete one photo which was nude. Not bad compared to guys trying to post pics of girls.

We have some great women here who know their hockey and love men. God Bless them. The guys and girls that are jealous of them jsut need to shut the hell up.

I agree with Krazgrl, I'm gone for a few days and...wow. I seriously doubt any true "puckbunny" would last long on this message board. Although if admiring a few players' looks while enjoying the sport of hockey makes me a puckbunny, so be it.

I guarantee you, it's better this way. I've seen that picture multiple times and it still makes me want to cry and hide under my bed.

Well, in defense of my fellow brethren, we didnt start the puck bunny stuff in this thread. In fact, I believe most, if not all of the males posting in this thread would defend you girls having a thread like this, I would. I dont think its even been questioned here. Although I agree with your above sentiment about things being one sided at times, I don't think its relevant to what actually happened in this thread.

And trust me, for every hot guy thread, there's been 1000 hot chicks threads. Albeit, not as many in the past 4 or 5 years for some reason. We even had our own short lived "Gentlemen's Club" here at LGK a few years back.

So keep posting. I enjoy reading the commentary.

there's no such thing as too much Lundqvist!!! and I agree about Steve Yzerman. I've always thought he was quite zexy for an older man.

and maybe I'm weird, but I think Zetterberg and Lidstrom are handsome as well. apparently I just like Swedish guys.
