Fans of 80's thrash should give these guys a listen. They've managed to capture the genre's sound without sounding terribly derivative. An instant thrash classic (imo) in 2013. Who'd of thought?

So much roots in punk...so good though.

Hopefully some of you guys can make it, my band will be co headlining with Windhand (Side project of Cough) on September 22nd at the Complex in Glendale.

Rapper Tech N9ne To Release Metal-Tinged EP 'Therapy' -

Horror rapper mastermind Tech N9ne has announced that he will be releasing a new EP entitled Therapy on November 5th. The 11-track EP will be produced by Ross Robinson (Korn, Slipknot) and will feature Limp Bizkit‘s Wes Borland and Glassjaw‘s Sammy Siegler.

The sample track sounds a little dated, but not bad. Nice pedigree as far as the above mentioned collaborators.

Iron_Maiden_-_Live_After_Death.jpg

On this day in 1985, IRON MAIDEN released LIVE AFTER DEATH. The first 13 tracks of the album (12 songs and the intro) were recorded at Long Beach Arena in Long... Beach, California on March 14-17, 1985, while the last 5 songs were recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon (now known as the Hammersmith Apollo) in London on October 8-12, 1984. The recording captures the spirit of the World Slavery Tour in extraordinary fashion, and Kerrang! recently described it as "possibly the greatest live album of all time." Not to mention, Derek Riggs' artwork on the album cover is undoubtedly one of the best pieces that he ever drew for the band. So when you consider the total package, it's hard to imagine another live metal album surpassing this one. Up the irons! \m/

Happy to see this thread still alive and kicking.

I've been away for a while, so I have to contribute a little something.

Could just be my favorite release of 2013.

Ministry: The Devil's Chord Comics: Early Sketches Revealed

We also spoke with the man himself, Al Jourgensen, about the comic. ?I was there to make sure I had the right superpowers,? Jourgensen laughs. ?One of my superpowers in the comic is I can bring my friends back from the dead in the evil final battle against the cyborg raccoons that were sent by the C.I.A. to spy on my compound and my lifestyle. I resurrect Mikey [Scaccia] and William Burroughs and Timothy Leary and we all battle the cyborg C.I.A. raccoons. It?s an epic battle!?
