Zombie And Manson Live Up To "Twins Of Evil" Name With Onstage Insults Exchanged At Michigan Show | Rock News | Eddie Trunk | EddieTrunk.com

During their Michigan show at the DTE Energy Music Theatre, the two frontman traded verbal jabs at one another while onstage after Manson stated that Rob Zombie of cut his set short.

"I'm going to kick his ass," said Manson, near the end of a set that lasted about 80 minutes. Manson made the threat after he told the crowd he wished he could've been able to perform more songs.

Once Zombie took the stage, he laughed off Manson's threat and declared, "Some tours just don't go (expletive) together," yelled Zombie, after he told the crowd Manson didn't even attempt to "kick his ass" during intermission. Zombie added that he was tired of Manson's "rock star (expletive)" and said something about hoping Manson enjoyed the show because it could be his last.

Zombie then fired more insults at Manson's near the end of his own 90-minute set. The singer, paying homage to Detroit rocker Alice Cooper, covered Cooper's hit song School's Out, and filled it with several expletives directed at Manson.

"(Bleep) you Marilyn Manson!," Zombie yelled several times, along with other choice words including "suck it Marilyn Manson!"

Rob Zombie Apologizes To Fans For The "Embarrassing Stupidity" On Display At Michigan Show | Rock News | Eddie Trunk | EddieTrunk.com

Rob Zombie has posted the following message at his Facebook page addressing the incident that happened at the Twins Of Evil Michigan show:

"As stupid as this all is, I feel I must clear things up a little better. First off, I want to thank all the fans who came out in the freezing cold in Detroit last night. It was a total blast as always.

Unfortunately, things turned ugly backstage. Why? I don't know, but for some reason our touring partner [Ed's note: Marilyn Manson] decided to end his set by blaming me for something that I had nothing to do with and screaming he was going to "kick Rob Zombie's ass as soon as he got offstage."

Go figure. I was backstage hanging, watching the show thinking "hey this is gonna be a great night", when suddenly he starts screaming threats. So strange. I don't get it. Christ, I've known some of his crew for 20 ****ing years and some of his crew used to work for me. It's all good. No one would **** with someone's show. It is ridiculous.

Well, of course, I felt the need to respond to the "kick my ass remark". Who wouldn't? Although I wish I had kept it backstage and kept the fans out of it. It is all 4rd (sic) grade fight after school nonsense of which I have never dealt with on tour before. Co-headlining always go smooth because everything is cut 50/50 and I mean everything. No one ****'s with anyone's show. It is even ****ing Steven. I've done it co-headlining tours many times before and have had no troubles. Not with Pantera, Slayer, Alice Cooper, Korn, Megadeth or anyone ever. So I didn't expect any troubles on this. It seemed like a great idea at the time. But **** happens. Anyway, sorry to the fans who had to dealt with embarrassing stupidity of it all. We are there for the same reasons to give you the best show ever.......that's it."<P>

Interesting. Jonathan(J-Devil) from Korn already bailed on the tour...Rob Zombie has a rep for being a good guy. I have to hold MM responsible. Rumor is he is out of shape and 'the drugs like him' and he is a WEEEEEE bit off the mark.

Have you heard the live footage of Axl singing Welcome To The Jungle and sounding like Mr. Hankey doing it? He and Geoff Tate should hit the road together as "The 'A-Hole vocalists whose voices are done' Tour"

Classic L.A. Guns Albums Remastered By Rock Candy Records | Rock News | Eddie Trunk | EddieTrunk.com

Rock Candy Records have reissued two classic L.A. Guns albums, 1988's self-titled debut and 1989's Cocked & Loaded. The releases come with all the usual Rock Candy trimmings: 24-bit remastering from original source tapes, weighty essay's about the making of the album, full artist involvement, new interviews, enhanced artwork and additional photos spread out over large full color booklets -- both are available for purchase at Rockcandy.

Worth getting if you do not have. One of the few bands to actually still sound relevant from the whole hairmetal boom. Probably because they were rooted in good catchy hooks and semi-glam 70's sleaze. And that, never goes out of style.
