Very fun period but one play of note for me was Clarke’s stand-up block on EP40. Petterson had that slick pull with puck behind him but Clarke’s read was straight on when he actually released it.

He blocks shots, actually, and he is much more often in position than not.

Glad you caught that too! Man, that last eight minutes is probably the best I've ever seen the Kings play this year.

Clarke has clearly worked very hard at being the defensive player this team had demanded he be. Loaded topic to say the least but he’s proved to be the best defenseman on this team. More minutes would mean more mistakes but also more goals and likely fewer too over the course of a season.

I don't disagree, but you need to always beat the bad teams, and they're doing that. Now to move on and beat the mediocre teams.

I said the Flames were awful last game and they are. But the Canucks are the one team that is truly bad this season. A class all their own.

Hope this boosts Kuemper’s head game though.
