Clarke has clearly worked very hard at being the defensive player this team had demanded he be. Loaded topic to say the least but he’s proved to be the best defenseman on this team. More minutes would mean more mistakes but also more goals and likely fewer too over the course of a season.

Watching the game, one of my biggest thoughts was thank goodness we didn't give up something to get Evander Kane. He looked terrible. Scott Laughton was a solid and way better pick up for grit on the third line
