It’s probably years since 2014 trying to play like the teams that won Cups but without the assets. Those teams could go back into a shell because they had Stone Wall Quickie and a stellar defensive corps. The teams since (starting with the catastrophic loss of Voynov and the ultimate degradation of Quick’s competence) have been playing that slow, defensive system and naturally remained in that mindset.

I’m fine with that system, so long as we have the assets and we haven’t had them in a LONG time.
